Trying to sit up, I suddenly feel cold draft across my body. I raise the covers and am horrified to discover that, I wasn't wearing the actually clothes I was wearing before.

"What happened to my clothes?" I yelp.

"You were covered in mud and gravel, soaked to the skin, so I gave you some of my new clothes," one of the girl said.

"Its late already and you need some rest, before we take you to the hospital tomorrow," the woman said.

"Is it 4pm already?" I reflexiely look to my watch, but my empty wrist remind me what happened and my heart squeezes.

"It's 12:55pm," the other girl replied.

"I know you can't go down the stairs for some food so I'll bring it here for you," the woman said walking out of the room.

The room was well decorated with lights and a small size Christmas tree, just as I had always wanted my bedroom to look like, it was obvious they were wealthy.

I tried to stand up, but couldn't the pain in my legs was much that I couldn't stand up.

"My name is Annette and my sister beatrice," a familiar voice said, and I turned toward the skinny girl starring at me with pink cheeks and sparkly eyes.

That's was when I noticed she was still in the room.

"That's good annette," I groaned in so much pain.

"Beatrice, please help shirley up so she can eat her food," the woman said as she walked into the room.

I looked at the tray she was holding, meat loaf sandwich and bowl of pumpkin soup.

"Thanks, I really appreciate," I said before taking a bite of the meatloaf sandwich.

"I guess you will be spending the holiday with us, I mean Christmas," Annette said with a smile, and I wonder why she was excited by my presence.

"Um...Annette bedtime," Beatrice said and Annette began to walk toward her.

"Goodnight, shirley," she muttered as she walked out of the room.

I ate a few of the meatloaf sandwich and hardly touched the bowl of pumpkin soup, that was set before me.

"Thank you so much," I said to the woman before handling over the tray to her.

"Hope you enjoyed the meal?" She asked and i replied by nodding my head.

She left the room and closed the door gently behind her.

I sighed and then relaxed my head on the fluffy pillow on the bed, the room was warm and comfortable, with the lights twinkling around the room and I close my eyes to say a few prayers.

After midnight, the winter storm that had been raging all day really wallops the street.
The rat-atat tapping of hail on the roof and clatter of trees branches against the room wall might have wakened me if I'd been able to sleep.

So I gently and carefully stood up with one leg on the floor I gently walked toward the window to take a look at outside the window.

Staring out of the window, I make a top-ten list of all the terrible things that happened in a single day, and you know what ends up #1 its not about the divorce or the we are not celebrating Christmas stuff, its not even because of dad's Rolex.

The thing that upset me most is that will I ever be able to find my dad's mother before Christmas eve and bring her home.
