You stepped out of your work building, and it was raining. Of course. You ran to your car, and quickly unlocked it. You got in and sighed. Today had been one of those days. You picked up your cellphone. There was a missed call from your boss, and You called him back.
"Hey...sorry I missed your call." You Said.
"Well, I called you during work hours, so at least I know you're working." He said, laughing.
You faked a laugh. If that was his idea of a joke, he was pretty lame.
"So, anyway, I need you to move." He said.
"Again?" You Asked.
"Yes." He said.
"Where?"
"New York." He Said.
"No...anywhere but there." You Said.
"What?" He asked.
"I grew up there.." You Said.
"Well, I need you to work there." He said. "The company there needs a new manager, and you're the perfect fit."
"Okay.." You Said.
"Thank you." He said.
"No problem.." You sighed.
You hung up, and gazed out the window.
You had grown up in New York and hated High School. The kids were always picking on you, and comparing you to themselves. There was only one person that liked you there.
His name was Kellin. You guys dated for a few years, and those few years were perfect.
Until you got in a fight. You didn't talk for a couple of weeks, and within those two weeks, your parents made you leave for collage. You never saw him again.
There was a small part of you that was excited to go back to New York, and possibly see Kellin. But You didn't want to see if he had moved on. And what if You ran into the girls from high school? They probably haven't changed. Most of the people from high school had probably moved away from New York, You thought.
But soon, you knew, your whole life was going to change.

You looked out the window of the plane, and got butterflies in your stomach. New York was underneath you, and you'd be down there soon. With a new life, and a new job. After the plane landed, You headed to the apartment building. You went up to the front desk, where an old lady was sitting.
"Hello?" You Asked.
She looked at you. "Oh, hello." She Said.
"I'm...um...Y/N L/N." You Said.
She handed you some keys.
"I hope you enjoy it here." She Said, smiling.
"I'm sure I will." You Said. "Thanks."
You grabbed your bags and carried them upstairs to your apartment.
You laid them on the floor and looked around. It was a little dirty, but at least it was a place to stay. You could always fix it up a bit.
After getting settled in a little, You decided to walk around the city. You found a cafe and stepped inside. It was warm, and smelled like coffee and chocolate. Your kind of place. You sat down at the bar, and ordered a coffee.
"I'll be back." The barista said, running to the kitchen.
You looked around the room. There was a stage, so apparently They did concerts or karaoke or something.
The barista came back and handed you a cup of coffee.
"Thank you." You Said. "Just wondering, do you have concerts here?"
"Yeah." She Said. "Tonight the band Sleeping With Sirens is going to play."
"Hmm. Are they good?" You Asked.
"So good." She Said. "You know, the concert is free. You should totally come."
"I would love that." You Said. "I haven't been to many concerts."
"You're going to love them." She said. "By the way, my name is Chloe."
"Nice to meet you." You Said. "My name is Y/N."
You sipped my coffee, and someone called Chloe.
"Oh..I've gotta go." She Said. "But I'll see you tonight?"
"See you tonight." You Said.
After drinking your coffee, You paid and went back to your apartment.
You dug through my suitcases, looking for the perfect outfit for tonight.
You settled on a pair of black boots, a grey shirt, and a red skirt.
By the time You unpacked all of my clothes, it seemed late enough to head back to the cafe. You got dressed, and slipped on your leather jacket before heading out the door.

When You got to the cafe, it was pretty packed. Chloe saw you, and ran over.
"I'm so glad you could make it!" She Exclaimed. "The band is just about to start."
She grabbed your hand and pulled you to the front of the crowd.
"Am I supposed to be up here?" You Asked.
"It's a cafe." She Said. "You can stand wherever you want. Oh, except for on stage."
The band started to come out, and Chloe looked at you excitedly.
"Enjoy!" She said.
The guitarists came out first, then the drummer, and they started to play.
After the intro to the song, the singer came out. He started to sing, and he had a higher pitched voice than You had expected. His voice was also hauntingly familiar, but You couldn't put your finger on it. He hadn't yet turned to the crowd, so You didn't see his face yet. But that voice. Where did You remember it from? He turned to the crowd, and you both locked eyes. That's when it hit you.
It's Kellin.
He seemed to recognize you as well, because his eyes refused to leave yours.
He turned and said something to a band mate, and they stopped playing.
Suddenly, he ran off of the stage and into the bathroom.

Kellin ran to the bathroom, feeling like he was going to throw up.
Was that who He thought it was? She seemed to recognize him, too.
But what was she doing here?
It had been five years since you last saw each other, and the way you left off had tortured him for years.
Suddenly, people were banging on the bathroom door.
"Kellin, come back out and play for us!" Someone Said.
He knew He should go back out there, but could he really sing when you were in the crowd? He wouldn't be able to concentrate.
He opened the bathroom door and went back to the stage, fans following behind him, asking him questions that He couldn't even hear. He was too distracted. Once He got back on stage, He looked around at the crowd. There was a bunch of screaming girls, but you were no longer there. He looked over to the doors, and a waitress was following a girl out of the building. The cafe manager came up on stage.
"What's your problem?" He asked.
"Um..sorry.." Kellin Said.
"Start playing! This is a waste of my money." He said.
"Wait...can I just have a second?" He Asked, his eyes focused on the doors.
"No." He said. "Unless you want to give me a refund."
He looked at him, then back at the doors.
"You can have your money back." He Said. "But I have something to do."
He jumped off of the stage and pushed through the crowd, then made his way to the doors.
"Kellin!" "Where are you going?" The band was shouting.
He pushed the doors open and ran out, only to bump into someone. They both fell on the ground.
"Ow.."
"I'm sorry...I was looking for someone." He Said.
He got up and held out his hand to help the person up. They put their hand in mine, then looked at me with wide eyes.
"K..Kellin?"
"N/N?" He Asked.
You let go of his hand and stood up by yourself, wiping your dress.
"Y/N." You corrected.
"Oh...sorry.." He Said.
"It's Fine." You Said, turning around and starting to walk away.
"Wait, where are you going?" He Asked.
"Home." You Said.
"Come on, N/N....I mean Y/N." He Said. "It's been a long time."
"And?" You Asked.
"Well, How are you?" He Asked.
"I'm fine." You Said, still walking away.
He grabbed your hand. "Wait." He Said. "Look at me."
You turned and looked at him, your eyes full of tears.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Why do you care?" You Asked.
"Well....I missed you." He Said.
"After we fought, my parents sent me off to collage." You Said. "I went, and now I have a job. I'm happy."
"Did you ever think about me?" He Said. "It's been years. I was waiting for you to say something."
"Well, you didn't exactly reach out either." You Said.
"I didn't know where you were." He Said.
"You could've asked my parents."
"Why are you being like this?" He Asked. "You left me. Do you know how I felt after that? You were the only person that ever really cared. I was alone without you."
You took a deep breath. "Then you shouldn't have said all those hurtful things.."
You turned and started to walk away.
A few tears ran down his face.
"All these years.." He Said quietly. "All I ever wanted to do...was say sorry.."
He turned and ran back into the cafe, fans Immediately surrounding him.
