A Sizzlin' Summer

Part 8

After he walked out the house and got inside the car, he reminded Tess of how much he loved her and how incredible she was back there when she stood up to defend him, she smiled and kissed him. As they we're on the road to go back to Tess' place they saw someone who looked exactly like Keith's mother Monica but they couldn't turn back around to the go to the restaurant they just saw her in and gave up to go grab sushi at Sushi Enya Los Angeles, as they we're waiting for their food to be ready, Tess pulled out her phone out of her bag and looked for a number and called saying "Hi uncle D it's me Tess, look I don't have a lot of times but I need you to find somebody's address for me and a whole bunch of other things... do you think you can help me?, she took a piece of paper and wrote her uncle's address so that she go over to his house for the info. They got their food and went straight to Tess' uncle place, she hugged him and told Keith to come inside.
"Tess it's been quite a whole 4 years since I last seen you, how you been like honestly?" -Uncle D
"Uncle D, I'm not going to lie to you, it has been a pretty rough time but I learned to live on my own and do things that nobody else had to teach me, I cried several times due to the fact that I never had the chance to say goodbye or anything but other than that I'm okay I guess." -Tess
"I'm glad that you grew up being an amazing woman... Other than that, what did you want to know that you couldn't talk on the phone?" -Uncle D
"Oh yes I almost forgot, basically this is my boyfriend Keith and today we went to visit his parents but happened to find only one of them and we wanted to know... well I wanted to know if you could help me find his mom's address or if she ever went to the hospital in the area" -Tess
"I can help, what's her full name?"
"It is Monica Bianchi sir" -Keith
"I think I have something on her here... It says that she was married to Rob Bianchi until she found out that Rob was seeing somebody else and divorced him and got married to somebody else but no record of her ever being at the hospital. Maybe I can dig a little further to try and find out more things about her" -Uncle D
"Thank you, sir I really appreciate your help, it means a lot to me to be honest"- Keith
"Don't worry, you don't have to thank me for that, you are already considered as family as long as you don't hurt my niece, we good... wait- I think I found something interesting. It says that she filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband because she was being abused and that she when she found herself at the hospital for several months battling between life and death and yet nobody really talked about it"- Uncle D
"I always knew my father was a bad person but damn, I didn't think it had gotten to that point. How the hell do you cheat on a good woman like that and once she finds out you go and treat her like trash and send her to the hospital for several months hopping she would die? How do I find her?" -Keith
"I happen to have the address right here, let me write it down for you son." -Uncle D
"Thank you, sir... let's go babe" -Keith

Keith and Tess waved at her uncle and left to go to Monica's place who happened to live in Brentwood and not in another country. They arrived at her place and Keith told Tess to stay in the car for a little bit until he was actually sure that she had a little memory whatsoever of him and she smiled telling him to be careful. He knocked on the door and stood there with tears in his eyes because of how beautiful his mom looked; he was thinking about happy she looked just seconds before opening the door... "Hi mom," said Keith.
"Mom? I'm sorry, do we know each other? Because I don't recall having a son..." -Monica
"Mom, please I need you to remember me, little Keith? I have pictures if you want to see. Please mom, I cannot do this without you, you have to help me" -Keith
"I'm sorry I cannot help you young man, my husband is coming home from work in about 30 minutes, I have to prepare dinner I-" -Monica
"Please just take a look at least 2 pictures, they we're your favorite" -Keith

"I- I'm starting to remember just a little but my memories are still not recovered yet. Look, young man why don't you stay for dinner?" -Monica
"I'm with my girlfriend right that's why I cannot stay, today has been a pretty rough day but what about another time?" -Keith
"I'll be more than happy to have your girlfriend sitting down at the table with us for dinner, I'm sure you guys haven't ate anything yet. Am I wrong?" -Monica
"No, sadly you're not wrong. I'm going to tell my girlfriend to come inside" -Keith
Keith saw that his mom was really trying her best to remember him but it was a little bit hard, maybe if she saw Tess her memories would somehow come back a little bit faster. They all sat down at the table eating when Keith's mom went "Keith, I never lost my memories. I had to pretend I lost it to get away from your abusive father, I knew that somehow you would have come back and that's why I only allowed Tess's uncle to know where I was".
