A Sizzlin' Summer

Part 4

Almost a month and a half left of summer and it felt like it was just yesterday that they flew out to Greece. Plenty of places left to visit and yet they we're still debating on where to go next, what restaurant to eat at, what movies they we're going to watch, basically everything. Aria asked them if they we're down for a boat ride in Ammoudi beach technically like 15 to 20 minutes away from the house and everyone agreed. Everyone had their bathing suits on, hair tied, bags and sandals ready to go have fun the whole day, they arrived at the place and they were so many different people from different places just hanging out with each other like it was the last time they were ever going to see each other, they rented a boat and just sailed their way through the bay hopping to catch some fishes and octopuses, the girls were drinking wine and the guys beers while eating crackers and cheese, laughing and taking pictures of their adventures, they stopped the boat multiple times to admire the view and just relax because so much has happened these past few months and yet none of them ever argued with each other about anything. They brought back the boat and went to sit down in the car while listening to music, singing their heart out, having a whole concert in the car, some people looked at them as if they were crazy but they didn't have a care in the world, they laughed it out and headed to another place and this time Ambrose chose the place. They all went to Venetsanos Winery which is basically a place Aria and Tess always talked about, since they are both wine lovers he brought them to paradise, the view was magnificent, the wine was delightful, the people were amazing, the music was pleasant and let's not forget about the sunset, it was surreal, the food was exquisite, the place was impressively crowded and modern, they wish they could have stayed a little longer just to see the pretty lights but too bad, maybe next time. They went back home with a full stomach and a smile on their face, notice how they never texted their parents, it's because they don't have to do that no more, they don't have to constantly ask for things they can have and can do on their own, they don't have to hide who they truly are, this mini vacation has brought them nothing but joy and that's how you know that keeping children inside is not really a great thing because then, they never get the chance to interact with real people or become friends with random people and just like that they become family.
That same night, everyone just went straight to bed, Tess and Keith were watching movies in Keith's room, Aria fell asleep on Ambrose and Tristan just couldn't quite fall asleep just yet... He took his pencil and a journal that he takes with him everywhere and wrote about his journey, wrote about how this summer made him feel, what he liked about this summer, what he accomplished and what he didn't accomplish and at the end wrote a poem about wanting to escape this world sometimes, go somewhere nobody would find him, change his name, start a new life with a new identity, forget about the bad things that happened in the past such as his bad experiences with girls, his issues with the way parents would just keep their children inside because "they need protection", from what ? from who ? Who are the villains? Why would they hurt us? What's the purpose of being a teenager going to the adulthood without having a normal teenage year?... While writing he fell asleep and dreamt about leaving everyone behind to start a fresh new life on an island where nobody knew him, made new friends and eventually fell in love with an island girl. He woke up from the dream and realized that if he was to leave then the friend group would just fall apart again and he wouldn't want that to happen, he put his journal on his desk and threw on a pyjama on and went straight back to sleep trying to ignore his thoughts. Tess and Keith were still awake watching movies and laughing like crazy and talking about a bunch of things and how the summer was almost over and that would mean that they would have to go back to being who they we're before, go back to studying, go back to sleeping early, go back to the FaceTime sessions from 3pm to X, go back to calling people they don't want to...
-Keith: Listen here babe, I'm not saying that it is not hurting me that the summer is already half done and that we would have to go back to our separate ways, I'm just saying that we have many more years to figure out what you and I are gonna do.
-Tess: I'm just a little sad that it has to end like this, no more partying, no more sleeping late, no more adventures, no more movie nights, no more visiting amazing places, no more meeting new people and last but not least... no more us.
-Keith: There's always going to be a us, it's going to be hard but I promise to make it work, I promise that I'll come visit you when I have the time my love.

A few days before they left Greece*
"Ah I can't believe that in few days we're going to have to leave this paradise" said Aria... They all thanked Tristan because if it wasn't for him then the whole crew plus one wouldn't have that much fun, he told them that it was nothing, that even though it was just for a little moment, it really warmed his heart seeing everyone happy, enjoying the finest things life had to offer to them.
