"A katana," Gojo said, handing you a katana with a thin and flimsy pink blade, so thin that it was flexible. Its handle was ribboned in pink and blue straps, and a floral gold and pink handguard was placed on the intersection of the blade and the handle. [i'm thinking kny mitsuri's sword here guys]

"It's very unique, to say the least. The katana was made to have a longer reach, lighter weight, and faster speed. I think it'll suit you and the skills you have to hone to improve." He explained. You could only admire the blade in awe, thinking about the skill and talent needed by a blacksmith to create such a beautifully thin blade.

But, the skill the blacksmith had should equally be matched by the user of the katana. For just how a lyre cannot produce a melody worth playing in heaven without the strumming of a skilled musician, a katana too cannot gracefully serve its purpose if the user would fail to wield it properly.

And you weren't so sure you had the talent, nor skill, to wield the precious blade as your own.

"Gojo-sensei... Are you sure?" You looked at him, wanting to give the katana back.

"I'm certain. You're talented, you just don't know it. I also think this is the perfect weapon for you. If my hypothesis is correct, you could channel your cursed technique through the blade as long as you're directly holding it with your hands, which you obviously will. That way, you won't have to touch the curse to nullify their ability. As long as you hit them with your blade, you'd be good to go. That's why we're going long reach, and using a katana will teach you to become faster in general." Gojo said, pushing the katana back to your hands.

"You mean as long as my cursed energy hits a curse, it will instantly be exorcised?" You asked, raising a brow as you looked up at him.

"Not necessarily. For smaller curses with little cursed energy, you'll probably be able to exorcise it with a single touch. But take Yuta and Rika for example; you can nullify Rika for a really good amount of time, but you can't exorcise her since Yuta's flowing with cursed energy. So what do you do to exorcise higher grade curses or curses with high amounts of cursed energy? Channel your technique and strike, then use your cursed energy and make it flow to your katana, then attack while their cursed energy is nullified by your technique. Make sure you don't overuse your technique since it not only consumes a lot of energy, it also makes you tired and sick. That way, you weaken them by lowering their cursed energy and nullifying any of their upcoming attacks using cursed energy or technique, then you can sweep in an attack to finish them off."

You let the information sink into your brain, trying your hardest to process and understand the information he gave you.

"In simple words, yes, use the katana." Gojo finished, giving you a thumbs up. "I'll have Maki teach you to wield a normal katana. Then, you can try to integrate that into learning how to wield this one. Maybe Maki can teach you a thing or two about wielding this as well but, I have no idea how to wield weapons, so don't ask me!"

You gulped nervously as you tried to phantom the training you'd have to undergo just to learn how to wield a katana. During the past month, you've been constantly paring with Maki and the others just to learn the basics of jujutsu or martial arts and movement.

You started getting used to it, to say the least, but you were convinced most training sessions were just you and Yuta being human punching bags. You pitied Yuta more though. You didn't know if you were just better than him, or if other people were harsher when it came to sparring with him.

At least you're naturally fast, Maki once said, and you took it as a compliment. You lack power, but at least you're fast.

You were better at dodging than you were hitting back. And when you did hit back, it would bear only minimal effect on whoever you were fighting.
