Chapter 7

JiU and Gahyeon walked out the room, hands held together, clenched tightly while slowly approaching Jin. "So? Do you believe me now?"

Gahyeon looked up to JiU to see all she had portrayed in her face. "How's he going to help?" She kept her face straight towards Jin, locking his eyes. "You don't have to worry about that. We'll tell you what your part is."

"Okay, what's our part then?"

Jin smiled widely, breaking out of character so fast, it seemed as if he had never been so suspicious. He twist his body direction to the other way and rested his hands on his pockets. "Let's get back to the lab, we'll discuss this further on. Siyeon's by the car."

They followed him out the gates and theough the parking lot where they see a figure, cross-armed leaning onto the car. "Siyeonie.."

"Are we done here?" she immediately confronted Jin.

"Here, yes. We're going back to the lab now."

Siyeon rapidly turned to JiU. "You really do believe him huh?"

"Siyeon, I think it's legitimate."

"Come on JiU, that guy tried to endanger our lives! Not to mention, he kidnapped Gahyeon! Are you even sure about this?" She tried to steal Gahyeon's hand away and warn her about this, but she avoides it. "S-Siyeon unnie.. I-I want them back."

"How if they're gone? How if this was just a mistake?"

The girls were speechless. JiU tried to retaliate with words full of facts but her throat went dry and she gave up, until Jin came through. "You can believe me or not, but I felt their heart beats, and they're still alive. I'm trying to get them back. Now, you can stay here if you don't believe me but the best you can get here is an hour walk bus station. So, it all ends up to your decision. I'm not going to stop finding a way to save your members, whether you'll help me or not, but it sure will be easier if you all are there." He slipped into the car and slammed the door closed.

JiU shrugged her shoulder. "Siyeon, please.. Give him a chance."

She bit her lip, stretching her fingers out and her mind went crazy like a stampede.

The car stopped right before the entrance doors. "Let's go," Jin invited them while hopping out the car.

Siyeon, pouted lips and arms still crossed, reluctantly went out. "If this all goes south, I'm reporting you to the authorities," Siyeon pointed the finger at Jin while cornering his back on the car. "Tell me that again once you've seen the real thing," he calmly stated and lowered Siyeon's finger. She kept her eyes on him while slowly walking to the automatic doors that separated the main lobby and them.

Once inside, Jin led them to the elevator that would take them to another level which was revealed to be a mini clinic and observation center. "We need to do a brain scan --- for all of you."

"Wait what? Jin, you never told us---"

"I know, but it won't take long. It's to see if you still have the imagine and experience in your mind. So, please."

JiU looked at the two and released her own hand from Gahyeon. "I'll go first." She slowly made her way to lay down into the machine.

One by one, the three went. Once Siyeon, the last one, was all wrapped up, the doctors and scientists went on to print the results. The three were escorted to a waiting room nearby, only to listen to more news that brougjt more disappointment and rage to Siyeon. "We've prepared a room for all of you and you'll go get your stuff from the apartment."

"What?"

"It's going to be easier for all of us and the experiment. You'll be taken care of here at the building."

"We told you we'd help, but we didn't say we'd stay. You didn't even show us our members yet!" Jin put his hands out to calm them down. "I know.. I know.. You'll see them soon, I promise, but this is going to help us. You'll just have to stay here for one to two weeks." It went quiet. Jin could tell they had disagreements in their minds but this was for the sake of their members and they would do anything for them. Everyone stood there, hesitating to make a decision. They hand to weigh their chances, how if this was all just a trick? How if it was not possible at all? But some people just could forget all that to get rid of a dreadful memory.

"Okay, we'll stay under one condition: You show us our members the first thing tomorrow and prove you're genuine, but if it turns to be another one of those manipulative stunts---"

"It's not, I promise."

They kept following him, taking turns and twists through the facility just to get to their dorms. Gahyeon and Siyeon kept behind JiU as Jin takes the lead. Gahyeon kept her hands tightly inside the grasp of her unnie. "M-Maybe he's right?"

"Don't let your guard down Gahyeonie," Siyeon whispered while holding Gahyeon's hand tightly and slowly took the position of being in front of Gahyeon to protect her from whatever that comes.

It felt like nearly forever since they have been in the white hallway, lit up with only lights that blend with the color of the walls, watching the man lead them to their dorms without seeing his facial expressions --- who knows what he was scheming with those looks. Just as JiU was about to blabber a word of complain, Jin led them to a door that was on the opposite of the hallway. "I'll leave you from here on. Here's the key," he dropped a card on JiU's palm as she gazed around the room, "and I only can hope you do enjoy your rooms. There are clothes in the cupboard for all of you to use, given by your stylists and staff."

"How about our rented apartment?"

"Someone'll get your stuff and put them in front of here soon, latest in a few more hours." Jin dragged his hand out from his back and looked at his watch. "Oh, I must get going," he giggled as he apologized to the girls, "but please do make yourselves at home."

He hustled back as if something desperately depended on him. Once his presence faded away, JiU reassured them, "Okay guys, I'll go in."

"Be careful unnie."

JiU slowly slid the card into the door while trying to keep her heart from pouncing out. The door gave a friendly beep and, as modern as the building, the door slipped into the right and into the wall. She stepped in, not knowing what to expect, but her heart dropped and so did her jaw. It was amazing.
