Chapter 5: The Reveal

Nia's POV

I met up with Bryce before school and we decided to go to Starbucks for breakfast. I got a caramel macchiato with a lemon loaf and he got a vanilla bean with a cake pop. We went to go sit down on one of the couches. We chatted for a little bit until I saw the time and rushed to our cars to make it to school on time.

The day went by as slow as it could ever go dreading to go to ever class until lunch came. Me and Bryce became attached to the hip and now we do everything together and he's always right by my side. We both went to go pay for food and sat down at our lunch table when he asked me a surprising question.

"Hey, so who was that guy texting you the other day?"

"Oh um about that..." I started to get nervous about telling him about Jasper. Should I tell him or keep him a secret still?

"What? Is it bad? You can tell me I won't judge you."

"Well he's technically my boyfriend."

"Wait what do mean technically?"

"I met him online and he's a online boyfriend I guess you can say."

"Oh, have you ever met him?"

"No but he's coming tomorrow when winter break starts."

"Is he better than me?" Smirked Bryce

"Sorry but yeah."

"Well, we'll see I wanna meet this guy now see if he's fit for you."

"How about you come with me to the airport to pick him up tomorrow and you can meet him?"

"Sounds like a deal I'll meet you at your house then and see if he's a good guy for you."

After lunch we walked off to our different PE classes and continued the day. Bryce felt like a big brother to me he was already protective of me when ever guys came around. It was cute he was going to come with me to pick up Jasper. Bryce was always making sure that I was alright and checked up on me often.

I ended the day with History which was by far my favorite subject. Bryce meet me by my locker and waited for me to gather my textbooks and walked me to my car.

"So what time should I be at your house?"

"Ermm well Jasper lands at 12 so come around 11:30 the airport isn't far away so yeah."

"Alright sounds like a plan see ya tomorrow!"

I went in my car and as I pulled out of the parking lot I put in my AUX cord and played Like I'm Going To Lose You by Meghan Trainor.

I found myself dreaming

I got lost in the song and sang from the bottom of my heart, it was a small performance I had in my car. I could relate to the song and couldn't wait until tomorrow. I was so excited to finally meet him. My parents knew about him and approved of this. They were even allowing him to sleep in my room!

I got home and ran into the kitchen looking for something to eat. I found carrots and got peanut butter and took it up to my room. This time I didn't fall going up the stairs. I flopped on my bed and I soon fell asleep waiting for tomorrow.
