Should I run?

What if I can't shift?

What happens if I do get away?

I hold my breathe the very idea doesn't pay to think about. If I were to get away that would mean that I would be on someone's else's territory, my fate would be in their hands.

Traditionally werewolves require permission to enter other packs territory, rogues being the exception. While most rogues have mastered the art of travelling through territories un-noticed, I can barely shift let alone get through a pack un-detected.

If a werewolf is to be caught on a territory without consent from the Alpha whatever happens to them is in the hands of the well, Alpha. Sometimes they're kept as Omega'a, sometimes they're held as prisoners and used as bargaining chips during tough times. Generally speaking they're killed most packs can't afford to allow rogues to live after stepping onto their territory, it makes the alpha appear weak. Basically an invitation for rogues.

Of course there are the very rare occasions when the rogue is integrated into the pack as a valued member not just an omega. However, that is incredibly rare and has happened only once in werewolf history.

At least that's what I read about anyway.

I study the map my mother had given me, there are three packs that boarder our territory. The Blue Shade Pack boarders the East side, The New Eclipse Pack boarders the South side. Which leaves the North and West to be bordered by The Black Knight Pack which is by far the most dangerous.

"Okay, whatever you do don't run North or West." I whisper trying to assure myself. Maybe The Blue Shade Pack needs a new omega? Or  The New Eclipse Pack needs another cleaner?

"OMEGA!" I hear a sharp voice break through my mind.

Instantly I spin on my heels to see my father standing before me.

"What's that in your hands?" He barks pointing to the map in my hands.

"I-it's n-."

"Don't you dare lie to me omega."

I hesitate slightly, could I get away with a lie?

"It's a m-map of the pack territory." I confess shaking in fear as he takes another menacing step towards me.

"Why would a stupid omega like you need something like that?" He asks in a sickly sweet voice. I gulp he's taunting me; the same way cats taunt their prey by playing with their half alive remains, forcing them to suffer.

"I-I thought that a L-luna would need to know the territory." I say meekly cowering at my father's 6'2 frame.

He grabs the map out of my hands, "you need to know no such thing."

"I'm s-sorry Beta." I apologise keeping my eyes glued to the floor if theres one thing my father hates it's when I give him eye contact.

I watch him leave my room clenching my fists; just before the door he stops suddenly and without turning around says, "oh and Isabelle don't even think of escaping because all the men in patrol have been instructed to kill you if you decide to try anything."

I freeze, a wave of panic rushing through my body. My mother said she had planned my escape, does that mean she already knew about this? Is this her final plan?

I shake my head stubbornly. No, she wouldn't do this to me, I'm her daughter, her only daughter surely she needs me alive for something! I grip at the tiny shred of hope my mind has offered me, maybe my mother doesn't love me but she doesn't want me dead.
