The Winter Princess

You have been staying at the Avengers Compound for a while now, Dr Strange and Wanda have been training you to use your powers and after many hours of struggle you had managed. Nat had been teaching you some basic combat skills if you should ever need them. Everyone had seemed to warm up to you, it was amazing.

You and Bucky had told everyone about your relationship, or unofficially announced it in a game of truth or dare. Steve took it too well. Over time you and Bucky had grown closer together.

"Great training today as always y/n" Wanda said, walking out the gym with you.

"You too, I'm going to shower" You respond. She nods as you both part.

After your shower you head downstairs for some food, but you felt you had to stop at the doorway, some of the team were in the room talking about something.

"She knows how to control them, she can go home now." Tony says, you can't help but think they were talking about you, so you decided to listen.

"She can't leave, she could be a threat to the world." Strange adds.

"No, she can't leave, but she is not a threat. As long as she remains the good person she is she will be fine, but she could be a great addition to the team." Wanda sticks up for you.

"No, its fine, I'll leave" you say walking in, everyone froze. "I mean there's only so long this could've lasted anyway."

Before anyone can try and convince you, you walked off into your room to pack. You really wanted to stay, but if they saw you as a threat and they clearly didn't want you there, what was the point?

"Hey do you wan- y/n, what are you doing?" Bucky asks, his voice dropping.

"Leaving."

"But why, I need you."

"Ask Tony." You say bluntly, Bucky storming out your room towards the kitchen.

Whilst packing your bags you could here shouting, it was Bucky. He was hurt, not physically, but emotionally. After a while the shouting stopped but you heard Bucky enter you room. Before you could say anything he already had you wrapped in his arms. You looked up at him to see tears streaming down his face, "hey, hey" you cupped his face in your hand, the both of you sitting on your bed, "don't be upset Buck, we can still see eachother, we always managed before." You reassure him.

"I know, but it will be weird not waking up knowing you are next to me." He adds.

"I know baby, but it is what it is" you finish, before pulling him into a kiss.

You had said goodbye to everyone, some more meaningful than others. All your things were loaded into the car and Happy began to drive.

You spend most of the journey looking out the window, some memories flooding back caused your eyes to fill with water. "You alright?" Happy questioned.

"Yeah" you lied.

"Are you sure?" He responded, like he just knew.

"I can't help but think I made the right choice, I didn't even fight back." You start opening up.

"But did you want to leave?" He asks.

"No, not at all. But they wanted me to, Tony wanted me to." You answer.

"Wait here" he finishes, pulling vdr the car and getting out. He spent 5 minutes speaking to someone on the phone before getting back into the car.

"What was that about?" You curiously ask.

"Doesn't matter" he replied, acting secretive.
