Chapter 11: The Party

(Tanner's POV)

The date was good. But I noticed that Nessa was staring at me. And so was I.. I don't know why.

~after the date~ 

"Thank you." said Emma. "No problem. See you trm babe." I said. "Yup. Good night baby." she said. I kissed her and then went to my car. "ah tonight was good." I said to myself. Then I texted Nessa.

Tanner😌: Hey nessa. Can I ask you a question?

Nessa😋: Hey Tanner. Yea sure. What's up?

Tanner😌: why where you staring at me?

Nessa😋:ummm I don't know.. I just kept finding myself looking at you... I am sorry..

Tanner😌: nah it's cool. I was just wondering anyways see you trm at school. bye

Nessa😋: yea sorry..  anyways yea see you trm bye

I was still wondering why she kept looking at me but stopped after a while. I got to my house and my mom was already asleep. "good night mom." I said getting to my room. 

~the next morning~

I woke up and my mom wasn't here. "oh she is at work." I told myself laughing because I forgot she told she had work right now. I got ready and made some breakfast for myself then went to school. 

~at school~

"Hey babe." I said as I saw Emma. "Hi baby." she said. We walked to our friends but I was able to tell Jacob and Nessa were acting weird. "Everything okay Jacob?" I asked. "Hu? Oh yea." he said looking down as if he was sad. "this is all my fault.. I am sorry." said Nessa and she left and Peyton went after her. "What happened?" I asked. "Well, Nessa just found out she really doesn't like Jacob in that way and Jacob got sad. She likes some else but won't tell me who it is!" said Emma. "Oh.. man I am sorry Jacob." I said. "It's okay, it wasn't your fault. But it is okay. Don't worry man. I am just go home. Tell the others I am sick." said Jacob leaving. Then I thought of it! why not text ness and ask her myself! I thought

Tanner😌: Hey nessa. what's wrong?

Nessa😋: wrong person. nessa dropped her phone and left off to her house but the thing is well.. i'll text you on my phone.

Tanner😌: okay but you are..?

Nessa😋: oh right Peyton😊

Tanner😌: oh okay.

I then went to text Peyton but something seemed off about her.

Tanner😌: Hey peyton

Peyton😊💕: Hii anyways the thing is.. nessa likes..

Tanner😌: nessa likes...

Peyton😊💕: you.. but she knows your with emma and well she started to notice that she really likes you but she doesn't want to 'take' you away from emma like she did with Jacob and emma.

Tanner😌: WHAT!? But she didn't take Jacob from Emma. Emma and I started dating the day she came to school. It wasn't her fault.

Peyton😊💕: I know. I tried to tell her but she won't listen!

Tanner😌: was that why Jacob was sad..?

Peyton😊💕: yea.. but hopefully I can fix this! I know I can I just need to talk to him.

Tanner😌: Well he isn't at school. he left.

Peyton😊💕: what!? it's okay I am his best friend I think I know where he is at. anyways bye I gotta go make sure he is okay. can you talk to nessa please?

Tanner😌: yup. I will, and okay bye Peyton

Peyton😊💕: bye Tanner

School was kinda normal but couldn't stop thinking the fact that nessa likes me. "something wrong baby?" asked Emma. I couldn't tell her.. she will get mad at nessa. "yea sorry just worried about jacob." I said. "yea me too. poor jacob but we can't blame nessa. lucky she told him now and they aren't dating because if she didn't things would of gone way more bad." said emma. "yea your right." I said as I gave her a kiss. 

(Nessa's POV)

~earlier that morning~

"Hey nessa you okay?" asked Jacob. "Jacob I need to talk to you..." I said looking down. "you can do it. just tell him the truth." Peyton told me in a low voice. I just gave her a small smile. "What's wrong?" asked Jacob. "Look, I don't wanna hurt you but it's better if I tell you now.. I- I kinda like someone else.. and I can't date you because after the date.. I.. I realized that your more like my brother and this person.. I.. I just can't.. I am sorry." I said looking down. "oh.. it's okay.. thanks for telling me before anything." he said and left. I started to cry. "everything okay..?" asked Peyton coming to me. "No... I hurt him.. I could tell." I said crying. "oh ness.. I am sorry but it was better that you told him now." she said hugging me. We got up and went with our friends.. Mary and Xolo weren't still her but Emma and Tanner were. I- I couldn't get the fact that I hurt me off my mind.. then all I hear was Tanner is Jacob was okay and Jacob just saying yea that he was fine. I just had it. "this is all my fault.. i am sorry." I said walking away. All I saw was Peyton running after me. "NESSA WAIT!" she yelled. "I am sorry." I said and ran away. I know I dropped my phone but.. I couldn't go get it. I ran all the way to my house. My brother was there. "Hey what are- whats wrong?" asked Leo as soon as he saw me. "I- I hurt him. I hurt Jacob.. I like Tanner. And I know he is with Emma but still. I hurt my best friend!" I said crying. "Look nessa, it was better that you told him right now before he asked you out or something because things could of been worst. It wasn't your fault. I'll stay here with you and call us both in sick and we can have a day for us only." he said wiping my tears away. "it's been years since we did that." I said. "I know. but lets do it. Because don't forget today is the last day of school and you are going to that party later tonight. With Peyton, Mary, Hannah, and Emma." he said. "fine but I am not sure if I will go to that party." I said.  "yes you will go!" said Leo. "fine." I said laughing a bit.

~that night~

"thank you for making me feel better today." I said as I hugged Leo. "No problem lil sis." he said as he hugged me back. I got ready for the party and was just waiting for Peyton to come.

(Peyton's POV)

~earlier that day~

I went after Nessa but she just ran away. I told Tanner the truth. On why Nessa and Jacob were acting weird. He was going to talk to Nessa for me and I had to go find Jacob. I went to his house but he wasn't there. Then I remembered our meeting place we use to go to when we were little and were sad. I ran all the way to the beach.

~at the beach in their secret place~

Then I saw Jacob crying holding his hoodie he gave nessa the day they 1st hung out. "hey may I sit?" I asked as I gave him a small smile. "Hey Peyton." he said looking down to hide his tears but I already knew. "Hey it's okay." I said hugging him. "Peyton, it hurts.. i really liked her." he said. I started to cry with him. I hated seeing him cry. "Look, I know it hurts. But she never wanted to hurt you. All she wanted to tell you the truth. She loves you. But you have became like her brother and she has two. She says they are so annoying but she loves them. You helped her tell us about her best friend and when she got bullied. You did so much for her! And she never wanted to hurt you!" I say trying so hard not to cry. "thanks peyton." he said and hugged me. 

~at the party~

(still Peyton's POV)

"Hey you okay?" I asked Nessa. "Hey. Yea I am fine. I was with Leo all day. he helped me." said nessa. "that is good. I was with Jacob. He is okay now." I said giving her a smile. She just gave me a small smile. Then Tanner walked in. But where is Emma??? "Hey Tanner where is Emma??" I asked. "well she found that you know who likes me and she also told me she still likes Jacob so we broke up but are still friends." he said with a smile on this face. "amazing!" I said. Then I saw Nessa sitting down looking sad. "well I think you should talk to Nessa." I said. "okay." he said. But then Emma came in with JACOB!? Wow. I just saw Tanner and Nessa dancing. Awwww! "Hey! Let's go dance!" said Xolo. "fine!" I said laughing and took his hand to go with him and mary. It was a good time.
