The train wasn't as busy as usual. Work was tiring but I looked forward to going home to sleep.

I spent a lot of time zoning out. I was pulled from my thoughts by a sudden electronic voice.

"What are you looking at, kid?"

I realised I had zoned out looking directly at a person, "I-im sorry"

I finally focused looking at the person. Something about them seemed familiar. I nearly jumped out of my skin as he locked eyes with me and his phone spoke.

"Take a picture, it lasts longer"

I feel sudden panic and quickly sign, "Im sorry, I didn't mean to. I was zoning out"

His brows furrowed staring at me before typing out again, "Im not deaf"

I now felt like more of an idiot. God I suck at this communication thing. I've just embarrassed myself not once but twice in front of some stranger.

I looked away trying to just stare at the floor. Boots entered my vision making me look back up seeing the man closer.

His eyes were gorgeous. The honey color held so much untold emotion. He had black avian markings around his eyes.

He had a mask on his lower face, tubes coming out of it. What caught my attention more was how many bandages he was wrapped in. Should this guy even be walking?

"You sure do have a staring problem, do i look that ugly to you?" His phone vocalize for him.

"No, your eyes are beautiful" I spoke without thinking.

His eyes widened and he looked away, "its rude to lie to people"

"Im not, I think your eyes are really pretty" i smile lightly reassuring him best i could.

I could see the light flush on his cheeks as he shook his head, "Do you know who I am?"

"Am I supposed to?"

"Im...I was..Hawks" he corrected himself.

That's where I recognized him. He was well known, not as popular anymore for good reason. I didn't even know he was alive.

I was never a fan but in this moment. I can't say I'm not interested. I've never took much interest in him as a hero.

"Are you mute now?"

"You can say that. I am still healing. It hurts to speak"

"Well then not Hawks... could I get a name?"

"Its Takami, Takami Keigo" he leaned on one of the subway poles

"Im surprised that you are out considering your injuries"

"I don't like being cooped up" he shrugged

"Aren't you scared of villains recognizing you?"

"You didn't. My defining characteristic was my wings, with those gone who is going to recognize me?"

"I guess you're right"

He made good conversation, even if he had to type everything he typed fast. He was interesting. I don't think I would have ever spoke to him if he was still a hero.

"Would you be interested in getting coffee with me?"

"Its a little late for coffee" I shake my head unable to fight a little smile I had
