I stood at the board of the Argos, the waves felt good. I can't believe that we did it. Leo offered me the ship.
I couldn't take it, of course, but I was borrowing it.
At least Dirt Mother was sleeping again.
Annabeth appeared at my side, wrapping her arms around me.
"Hey, Wise Girl. "
"Seaweed Brain. ""What's up?"
"Percy, don't you feel the pull?"
"What?"
"The Oracle. "
"Rachel? Do we have to visit the Oracle? We just saved the world. Can't be so soon. "
"Haven't you noticed that wildlife has been messed up?"
"No, what's wrong?"
"The birds are just circling a spot round and round and the fish too. Something's up. "
I pushed my hair out of my face and looked into Annabeth's eyes."If you insist. But I'd prefer not to save the world again. "
Annabeth rolled her eyes and we headed towards Rachel's attic.Dark, musty and dusty, the mismatched green curtains waved.
Rachel sat in a trance.
Her eyes were glazed over and she was rocking herself.
Kinda creepy but Rachel was a nice girl. This wasn't her fault or her normal state.
A ghostly wail came out of her mouth.
God of the Sky,
God of the Seas,
God of Human Nigh,
Three mortals to please.
Before the Vernal Equinox.
Fulfill their tasks and bring peace.
Aware of the land of darkness,
Betrayal awaits you there.
Satyrs and son of storms.
Daughter of wisdom will stop the rift.
Of the Three Gods.
Then Rachel promptly fainted.
Annabeth and I moved her to the dusty couch.
"I suppose we have to find Chiron now. "
"Indeed, oh Daughter of Wisdom. "
Annabeth rolled her eyes, punching me in the shoulder.
Then she took my hand and we went to find Chiron.
