The Shadow of the Insect

~Chapter Three~

That was about three month ago when she was almost killed by a member of the Demon Slayer Corps...

Shinobu trained harder in the Butterfly Estate, she first had to process the tough words from the Shadow Hashira. "I have to show him somehow that I'm not weak. Just wait and see Shadow Hashira, I'll kick your ass!" She didn't like Kanae forming a team with him, he is a creep. "But Kanae only came home with minor injuries, as if he were protecting her, maybe I'm wrong." she thought.

Her older sistser was on a mission with the guy again, so Shinobu had the whole house to herself. She got the idea to clean the house. When she was about to begin, two silhouettes came into the property. On closer inspection, she could see the two people. It was her older sister and the demon. She wouldn't have thought that she would see him again so quickly. She thought to herself, "What is this guy doing so late in the evening? Does he not have his own house?"

Kanae clapped her hands as she said to her little sister, "Ara Ara Shinobu, why are you up so late?"She replied with a short sentence, "I cleaned the house." The older one showed her happy side and asked her very nicely, "Can you please provide a room for our guest?" Shinobu cursed in her head, "Now I have to play the maid for him." 

Kanae said to the Shadow, "Don't you want to see the pond with the butterflies?" Neltha looked in the direction of her and nodded. "Then let's go there!" She pulled his hand and ran towards the ponds. The shadow was stunned for a short time that she grabbed his hand without thinking. Shinobu saw everything and she didn't like it in which direction it was going... she followed the two unobtrusively.

In that night, the moon shone in its full glory. The moon reflected in the pond and made the atmosphere even more romantic than it already is. Both Hashira stood next to each other and neither of them spoke. They enjoyed the silence. 

Kanae broke the silence, "Isn't the moon beautiful today?" Neltha wanted to say something but Shinobu couldn't take it anymore and interrupted him. "Shadow Hashira, your room has been prepared, you can now enter." She was afraid that he would puncture her with words again or even kill her. She only felt his lust for murder slightly but only briefly. But nothing came. Kanae wished him a good night and he was gone.

Shinobu was about to explode when Neltha was gone. "What was that?! Do you like this guy?!"
Kanae turned red like a tomato and didn't hide it it at all, she was visibly embarrassed that Shinobu listened to the whole conversation. 

There was no turning back, she heard everything. Kanae stuttered and said, "Ye-yes, I re-really like him. That's what happened over the time we spent together." Shinobu was shocked. "Sister, you know what he almost did to me! He would have killed me!" She looked sad and said, "I know, but he changed. Please, believe me." "I can't trust anyone who almost killed my older sister and me, even though we're on the same side" said Shinobu desperately. 

Shinobu had to pull herself together and did not think twice. She sighed, "Just because it is you and very important to me, I will be there with him on your missions from now on." You couldn't get this idea out of her head, Kanae then agreed to form a team.
