My chin rested on my hand, as I listened to Keating talk but I mostly was doodling in my sketch book.
"A man is not "very tired" He is "exhausted" And don't use "very sad" Use." He pointed to Knox.
"Come on Mr Overstreet, you twerp."
""Morose"?" Knox asked.
"Exactly! Morose!" Keating cheered.
"Language was developed for one endeavour and that is-- Mr Anderson?" I looked at my best friend.
"Come on are you a man or an amoeba?" Todd didn't say anything.
"Mr Perry?"
"Uh... to communicate." Neil said.
"No! To woo women." Keating said as I looked down at my paper.
"Today we're going to be talking about William Shakespeare."
"Oh God." Charlie groaned.
"I know. A lot of you look forward to this about as much as you look forward
to root canal work." Keating said as I yawned."We're gonna talk about Shakespeare as someone who writes something very interesting."
"Now many of you have seen Shakespeare done very much like this. O Titus bring your friend hither." The boys laughed.
"But if any of you have seen Mr Marlon Brando you know that Shakespeare can be different. Friends Romans countrymen lend me your ears."
"You can also imagine maybe John Wayne as Macbeth going. Well is this a dagger I see before me?"
There was than a knock on the door, and it opened to reveal dad.
"Dad?" I asked.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I need a word with daughter." Keating nodded.
"Of course, Miss Reid." I tried not to groan as I stood up.
The boys looked at me as I followed dad out.
"What's going on?" I asked leaning against a wall.
"Don't worry you're not in trouble." He put his hands in his blazer.
"OK... what is it?" He took a breath.
"I'm having dinner with your grandparents... and my girlfriend, and I would like you to join us." I scoffed.
"You mean the cheap whore that you cheated on mom with?" I asked.
"Allison." Dad snapped.
"What? Did you just expect me to not be mad? You cheated on my mom and what's worse is that you except me to forgive you and go to dinner. How can I forgive you when you don't even try to apologize?" I asked.
"Allison."
"You made me believe that love doesn't exist. I watched my parents be in love for 7 years! and then fall out of love. And all because you cheated on my mother!" I didn't even realize that I was yelling.
"Do you know what that does to a kid?" I asked.
"Allison, I'm so sorry." Dad had tears in his eyes and came closer to me.
"Get away from me!" I yelled but he didn't.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you." I started pounding on his chest.
"I hate you!" I sobbed into his arms as I hid my head in his chest.
"Allison, look at me." I lifted my head up.
