"No! Absolutely not...I won't even hear it. I wish you guys would have told me all about your plan before you went to all the time and work. Not to mention, I know you guys had to have broke into Slughorn's stash to get the ingredients. You're going to end up expelled! But despite that, the answer is still 'no'. I will not allow my best friends to put their lives at stake just so I'm not alone. I've been alone every transformation, each month, since I was 4 years old. And it will stay that way. I will absolutely not stand by while you all sign your death sentences." Remus took a deep breath from his spot on the Gryffindor common room couch, then letting out quite an exasperated sigh.

James was standing in front of the fire place, facing the couch where Remus sat, his arms folded across his chest, as if showing an ounce of defiance against his best friend's wishes. "You know, Moony, the more you argue and tell us we can't, the more we want to do it?" James retorted as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, smirking slightly.

Remus huffs a little, though his face shown the amusement he got out of James' stubbornness and Moony? Where did that one come from?

"You giving me a nickname isn't going to get you what you want, James. Things are different during a full moon. All bets are off. I don't see or recognize you as my best mates. You'd just be another prey for him to destroy. I couldn't live with myself if anything ever happened to any of you, let alone at the hands of my furry problem." Remus said, flopping back against the back of the couch.

Kacie Elektra Black, Sirius's Twin sister, 5th member of the Marauder's and the only female they've allowed into their group, sat surveying the scene from her spot on the common room floor. Wondering exactly what it was she needed to do to convince the sandy haired boy that this would work.

As well as being Sirius's twin, she had also become quite close with Remus, a bit more than the rest of them. It's not that she didn't adore every one of them equally, she just seemed to enjoy Remus's company.

They spent a lot of time in the library, doing studies on many different subjects, Remus's lycanthropy being one. It's not as if he didn't live it for the last 12 years and know the ins and outs. But she wanted to know everything about him, even if it was something he couldn't stand about himself. She didn't look at him any differently after she found out. If anything, she had more admiration and respect for him and all that he goes through. So she insisted they research it more.

She was excellent at potions, especially for a student. Her skills rivaled that of Slughorn's himself. Dumbledore had, on more than one occasion, made it known that if she wanted a position as the Potions Master after they finished their last year at Hogwarts, he would then permit Horace Slughorn to retire, like he had been attempting to do since their second year.

Being a talented, yet humble witch though, Kacie had just politely thanked him for his kind offer. Stating that they'd cross that bridge when they got to it. She had originally decided she was going to be an Auror. Remus mentioned wanting to stay at the school and teach, but never did mention which subject he'd prefer.
