Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Here Comes the Sun

It had been a little over two weeks since that night in the common room and tonight was the first full moon that the Marauders would be accompanying Remus. He hadn't really been as nervous as he thought he would be, up until today. Maybe it was the fact that the full moon always made him tired, irritable and antsy but in his mind, he couldn't shake that overwhelming feeling of dread he was getting.

He was zoned out when he got a slight nudge by Sirius's elbow. "Remus, what do you think?" The boys expression held a hint of amusement as he waited for his reply. "I don't know... have you even spoke to him about this yet? Maybe he'll let you slide on the essay and turn it in tomorrow? He isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be." Remus finished his sentence as he took the last bite of his slice of bacon on his breakfast plate.

Sirius scoffed, for a split second, before ending with a 'oomph' when he got hit in the back of the head with a rolled up Daily Prophet. "Jesus Kacie! You don't have to be so violent! Just cause you wanna stick up for your boyfriend here..." Sirius's voice trailed off when he got the reaction from his twin female counter part, as she shot a glare his way before rolling her eyes and spurting out the first comeback that came to her mind.

"Haven't I told you before brother, dear? You using Remus 'being my boyfriend'..." using air quotes around the phrase. "...isn't really an insult?" She had used her power of sarcasm to aid her in covering up the massive flush creeping across the upper half of her body, clear up to the top of her forehead. She couldn't think of anything else besides how Remus's face was basically the same color as the tomatoes that were cut up on the platter in the center of the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. She couldn't help the smirk that crossed her features. She'd be absolutely stupid if she denied the attraction she had towards him, especially as of late. They both could obviously sense it, but Remus being Remus, she figured he was just blowing it off as 'she's just doing the normal stuff we do as best friends.' Either that, or the more logical and in reality probably exactly what it was... he didn't feel the same way. They had been best friends since first year. This was the beginning of their sixth year and if she thought back far enough, she still couldn't pin point quite when these feelings had surfaced. All she can recall was spending the good half of the last three years fighting the urges that she would get when she was around him.

If there was one thing she knew about her best friend, it was that even if he had felt the same way, he would never dare say it out loud... let alone to her. She knew that for a fact. And she would be too anxious to find out he didn't feel the same that she wouldn't dare even mention it, just to ruin what they had going now. I mean, most everyone who didn't know them personally, assumed they were dating. They were basically inseparable. When she wasn't spending time in the summer or on holidays with Sirius and James, at the Potter Mansion where they had been staying since the summer before their fifth year, she was spending time at the Lupin's. She loved his parents like they were her own and they treated her as if she was.

Not only that, but when in school, she had basically every class but three with him. She sat with him in all the classes, except potions (that is, up until this year) because Sirius insisted he have his twin's help in this class, if she one day plans on teaching it. So Sirius had been her partner and "neighbor" for the first five years. But, to Sirius's dismay, when they got to potions the first day of this year, Remus was right behind him, sliding into the empty seat next to her. She can still remember the look on Sirius's face when Remus looked at him with a smirk and said very blatantly "I've got her this year, Sirius. You can team with Peter." Shock and anger on Sirius's face showing at first, before his features softened at whatever Remus had muttered, way too low for her to hear, and turned into a toothy grin that spread across his face almost knowingly. He just shook his head and chuckled before turning on his heels and speaking low also, but still loud enough for her to hear. "I can't argue with that one... but then again, she is MY twin..." taking his seat now, next to Peter at the table two rows in front of them.
