Chapter 19- Hell house

For three days we've kept close eyes on the building it was a nest we spotted red and his group coming and leaving the property.
I continued doing sets on the pull-up bar as Kat searched the internet, "did you find me those schematics?" I said pulling up again Kat nodded "yeah I'm seeing sewer lining that leads up to the building you could take point there."

"How many do you think are in there?" I said letting go and grabbing water.

"No telling ..."

"I don't understand I thought you said it was impossible to ghost Oracle?" I questioned

"I never said impossible Oracle acts as a sonar pulse that bounce tracks off of any type of technology you'd practically have to be living like a caveman to ghost it...so like I said...I don't know how many are in there."

"You shouldn't go at all." Emily chimed in stepping inside "look you want him off the streets bad yeah I understand but going in blind against my uncle is probably the worst thing you can do." She continued bitting into an Apple

"Kat, how many do you think I can take until the rest of the party catches on?"

"As many as needed probably until you get to red."

"Have you found any way to get rid of this demon crap?" I looked over at Emily

"Close to it I know someone who can probably get something he's not cheap but if so it probably can extract the demon out of you and Red."

"Good...once we get that demon out of him it's all game." I walked over grabbing my suite and gear starting to gear up "jio I don't think you should go alone.." Emily walked to the table gliding her hand across my bow, I clipped on my vest looking at her "Listen...I can't have you in the field ..it's not because I don't trust you it's because I don't trust myself...I can't think straight with you there I can't stand the thought of you even getting hurt and I'm not fast enough to stop anything from happening...besides I can't have you freezing up again.." I slowly wrapped my arm around her waist pulling her close as I lightly smiled kissing her I let go and got back to gearing up.

I soon arrived near the building a block away popping open a sewer lid as I dropped down.
"Oh god it smells like ass down here.." even with a helmet on the stench would be forcing its way up my nose.

"Three clicks down the second ladder should lead you to the boiler room," Kat explained on my com I continued stalking down the long dark tunnel using my night vision mode. Once I found the ladder I climbed up quickly quietly moving the lid to the side as I got to ground level. It was hella dark it was weird no footsteps or talking the silence only being broken by the sound of droplets from leaky pipes as my boots clicked against the marble floors. "What's going on jio?"

"...I don't know...could be they left on a hunting trip.." I looked around entering an office-like room with duffle bags and equipment scattered around along with sleep bags spread out on the floor. I lowered my bow slightly scanning around. "They live here..." I continued walking passing opened empty cans of food "you were on to something when you said they live like cavemen.." I examined the empty canned corn with a spoon still inside. That's when I heard a metal can rolling in the distance. I quickly scanned around in a panic stalking towards the area bow now drawn. I turned the corner only to get flashed a floodlight turning on as my once green vision would roar white I would use my hand to block my view but was met with a sledgehammer to the face knocking me against the wall.

"Did you really think we didn't notice?..." Reds voice would echo in the distance everything a bit fuzzy as my left eye would glitch suddenly I would then feel a stabbing pain in my leg as another soldier would jam a ka-bar in my right leg I would burst out with a roaring outcry grabbing the man and throwing him against the wall. I would start to unload a barrage of blows to his face but would be stopped as another from behind and smash a crowbar into my face again sending me stumbling forward.
