Chapter 10- searching

It's been four days since the first encounter with Red and I still couldn't shake him off, although Kat keeps reassuring me that maple has been quiet since I can't help it I keep thinking to myself no I know for a fact he's plotting...something...I sat on the bed starring at my cast, my mom flipped, of course, I told her I sprained it during gym class the nurse wrapped it up, as for the bruises and marks I kept everything covered thanks to Kat and Emily. My body was sore and I hated the fact that I was just sitting sidelined while they were doing the hard lifting Mel had to deal with his own mess and I didn't blame him, a loud knock from the right of me sent me turning in the direction "hey kid, wanted to know what's your poison for tonight?" Jason would let out stepping inside my room,

"Huh???" Still startled I said a visible look of confusion on my face.

"Pizza or Chinese takeout?" Jason would speak I softly sighed smiling "um...I'm kind of sick of pizza every Friday lets just get Chinese food tonight."

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing just needed a second vote to go against your mom." He would laugh "its always pizza Friday's when she gets home but I'm glad I'm not the only one getting sick of it." He smiles handing me the takeout menu "just tell me what you want I'm calling in around 20 minutes so you got time for now."

"Thanks..." I continued searching through the menu Jason paused sliding his thumb against the side of my neck. "Ayo six feet." I said a bit agitated Jason looked "is that a hickey??" His eyes widened at first I was a bit confused until it crossed my mind of the bruises on my neck. He couldn't have been talking about that!? The makeup how? My eyes panicked placing my hand over my neck to cover it up "No!...must of been during gym you know how fat gym teachers are they go hardcore like the classmates are straight warriors when it comes up to dodgeball.."

"Yeah I've had my days in the rhino ball never in a million years could a rubber ball do that." He squinted his eyes trying to get a closer look but I turned my whole left side away from him now facing him head-on. "So I see you and your girlfriend are getting way to close now."

"That's not what you think Jason .."

"Hey hey it's ok Jio I'm an adult ok...and you are manifesting into a young man yourself I mean it was bound to happen at one point."

"What are you talking about."

"You know the birds and the bees speech right."

"Ight you know what...I think I know what I want to order chicken low main you can leave now man." I said

"Listen kiddo sex isn't bad in fact the human nature it's meant to feel good..you and this girl are gonna explore new things every day whether it be kissing or a little teeky teeky boom boom."

"Excuse me..." I never looked at an adult so disappointingly in my life.

"Listen what I'm trying to say is...I can't stop you and your mom neither but all I beg you is to stay safe you know? Because without protection comes big mistakes man babies, or even worst."

"Got it thanks for the talk..." I cringed my stomach-churning "and no weird stuff like pegging I was reading up on that the other day I was like WHOAH Whoah-" Jason spoke but I couldn't handle anymore so I began pushing him out my room "Now you gotta go man.." I closed the door and this time locked it. I sighed soon I heard a ring on my phone and seen a message from kat "Watch this now!" She demanded I rolled my eyes clicking on the video which put me straight into the middle of a Livestream with the mayor and police by the city hall "And this only proves so on why vigilantism needs to be banned and enforced by law enforcers, It seems the KillerX assumes he is above the law as seen in these video captures." The video would catch me and Mel by the bank as it had just exploded my eyes squinted a bit "what the..." I let out confused at first.

"These scum want you to believe they are hero's but the truth is they're just as crooked as thugs could be as proven on the actions they've taken to destroy the banks."

"What!?!" I shouted gripping my phone. I couldn't believe what I was hearing he changed the story completely! Mel and I were being used as scape Goats all the videos of us were cut leaving out everything from the chase to the showdowns. What was going on?
"But mayor bozeyo the counted hostages explained that the KillerX and his partner were the ones that saved them what makes you so sure it's him causing all this?" A reporter questioned

"For starters, the men and women on shift that night were all beaten and tortured to the extent they all couldn't keep the same stories straight there eye witness reports simply can't count in our investigation as for evidence wise all we found were destruction along the pathway where the hostages were "saved" but no signs of the robbers don't you find it strange not a trace of even a body to show for?"

"Bull shit I dropped half of the damn crew!...."I stopped for a minute looking at the wall "He played me.." I softly choked up I sighed my hair covering my eyes fueling my anger even more. A soft tap at my window sent me looking in the direction it was Emily she opened the window climbing inside. "Hey." She smiles which soon slowly faded when noticing my mood as she stepped closer she could hear the Livestream.

"And what do you have to say for these vigilantes?"

"He's not a vigilante ...but I do have some words for this criminal ...KillerX whoever you are...we will find you...and I can't wait to see you behind bar-" Emily exited the stream I folded my arms pacing back and forth.
"They think I did it..."

"We'll catch them jio don't worry about what the mayor thinks asshole just wants someone to blame so they at least don't make the MPD look like a bunch of dumbasses.." Emily let out I sighed speechless and truly disappointed I didn't understand why me when have I ever done something close to this shouldn't they be on my side? "I got some news I think you might like.."

"Does it involve me catching Red?"

"Actually yes and no it involves you finding what he wants." Emily gave me her phone with pictures an old vase looking object in a case.
"This is?"

"The next Dragon head Reds looking for..called a Chimera a dragon hybrid." She answered I kept looking at the pictures "where'd you get this info?"

"A dragon tamer after I beat him senseless."

"Dragon tamer?" I looked up

"Think of it like a person that can get you what you need...weapons...information on a person...where you can get something Red was in contact with him because he wanted to know where he can find this." She pointed at the object in the picture. I softly grinned "so we get there first...catch him in the scene of the crime and boom...."

"Now your thinking handsome." She smiles kissing me "but how do we stop something like him..."

"I've been working on that...give me and Kat some more time we'll find it eventually." She nodded I slowly gave a nod as well looking back at the picture of the Chimera......
