He Killed me and I Haunt him
Chapter 4
Once I stop moving I end up in front of Shane on a sidewalk a mile away from the house, closer to the town.
"Whoa! Okay, why are we on a street?" I say to Shane while trying to gain back my balance.
"Um, well, I was just taking a walk to clear my head. I didn't mean to disturb you." He says while looking a little confused as to how I found him, that's my guess anyway.
"You didn't. Though somehow I ended up here, in front of you. Why is that?" I ask him wanting to know why and how I ended up in front of him when only a few seconds ago i was falling.
"I don't know... unless, somehow, we can't be more than a mile apart." He shrugs and looks at me in wonder.
I nod to myself and think of how to test this.
Maybe if he blurs away....
"Okay, so let's test your theory. Blur about a mile away from me than once it's been a mile take one more step. If I appear in front of you after that step then..."
He nods and blurs away with out a word to me.
I wait a few seconds before it happens again.
I've been pulled away twice in one morning now.
This time I'm in front of a restaurant and standing beside me is Shane.
Looking at the glass on the front of the restaurant I frown.
My reflection isn't there, I front of me.
I take in everything in a sing breathe, though I don't need to breathe its just something that has become a habit.
I won't be able to go anywhere that's more than a mile away from him.
The same for him.
Now this is pretty close to 'Being Human' on SciFi.
All we need now is a Werewolf to complete the threesome.
I give a small smile to Shane and start heading to his house.
He follows beside me.
We walk in silence to his house
A car drives by us and the sun starts coming up.
More cars fill the streets as it rises above the buildings.
"You know what I think we ought to do, now that we're stuck together?" I ask him, turning my head to him.
He shakes his head not looking at me.
"I think we should get to know each other. I mean if we don't, every day is going to be like today." I say knowing that I'm right.
"Okay. After school today we'll get to know each other more." He whispers as the sidewalk fills with busy people.
A few of them pass through me making me feel...empty.
I try to stay away from them, but it doesn't work so i step off the sidewalk and on to the street.
Shane notices what I'm doing and pushes through the people to get on to the street.
But by the time he had gotten to me a car had passed through me.
It was a terrible feeling because this time I felt the person driving the car, I felt his feelings.
He was an old man with gray hair and hazel eyes.
He was feeling heartache and depair.
I could feel that he was going to die today.
I felt it when he passed through me.
The feeling of knowing a person was going to die, was more horrible than anything.
The sky turned gray to match my feelings.
Shane tried grabbing my hand but it just passed through me leaving me the feelings of concern from him.
Looking at him I frowned and continued to walk towards his house.
