He Killed me and I Haunt him
Chapter 6
In just a moment Shane is beside me half way to my home.
He does not talk just flashes like me only without the radiating white light that surrounds me.
We get to my home within seconds.
Shane stops at the edge of the porch of the house, uncertain about this.
But I do not stop.
I run up onto the porch and take in everything about my home.
It has a natral comfortable look toit.
It's gray with a black roof, white door, wooden porch and white windowsills.
I remember every little thing i did in this house while i grew up.
The swing i swung on the porch, the talks with my mom, my dads stories, all of it.
My mom comes out of the front door asking, "May I help you, young man?"
Her face is filled with concern and worry.
I hear the TV in the living room.
'Back to you William... Yes thank you Sara, as i was saying earlier there has been a murder of a seventeen year old, named Taylor Jones. Some say she was a kind, friendly, helpful person...'
As my mother talks to Shane, I walk through the door to the TV and watch as they show my school picture of when i was breathing.
'...Her family has been mourning for their loss since two o'clock this afternoon, police found her body on the side of the road...that is all the information we have from the police. More information is expected later on today at seven o'clock.'
I turn around to see my sister sitting in dad's lap and crying.
My mother has invited Shane inside and they have started talking about me, how he knew me, his happiest memory of me, my mother's memories, than my mother finally talks about how i died.
She cries through telling him of my death.
"There was blood...all around her...her clothes soaked with them, poor Jazmina was the one to find her. She screamed and cried for her...we had pry her away from Taylor, her hands were covered with Taylor blood....Her father called the police. They gave Jazmina Taylor's necklace...it was a locket with a picture of... Jazmina and Taylor.... I'm sorry but I don't think i can tell you any more."
My mother left with a gloomy look in her eyes.
Jazmina came over to Shane and stared at him.
Than she whispered to him, "Your not human. You took my sister's life away, away from us. But she's still alive isn't she? She hears us now, she can see everything can't she? She haunts you wherever you go, never leaving, never letting your mind settle, relax..."
She takes a deep breathe than reaches up to touch her neck where my necklace lays.
"Taylor please don't leave, don't ever leave me. I miss your hugs and kisses. I miss hearing your voice, please don't leave me. I love you, Taylor... I love you."
I reach out to her and put my arms around her.
She stiffens a moment then she softens and smiles.
I love you too Jazy... I won't ever truly leave you... not ever.
Her smile widens and her eyes close.
Taylor! Do you promise?
I smile this time and answer her.
Yes. As long as dragons still wonder this world, princes still fight, and princesses still fall in love... i will never, ever leave you.
We both remember our promise.
The promise not to ever leave the other no matter the obstacle, the villain, nor death itself.
