A quick note from the author, or a few things you should at least know before beginning this book : By the time I'm writing this, the canon chronology of UnderEdge hasn't been fully determined, so some events are up to interpretation, like when that character was born / fell into the Underground. And even after this, there are the recurring problems of Undertale : what sex or how old is Frisk / Chara. To avoid confusions, here is the answer for these Frisk and Chara. Frisk, is a 17 years old woman/adolescent when she falls into the Underground. As for Chara, he is a boy, and was 15 when he died. Important to precise, these aren't canon representations of the two humans. It's still, once again, up to your interpretation. But keep in mind that if I ever refer to UnderEdge Frisk or Chara, it will probably be to them.
Another detail that I'm sure has already crossed your mind is that this is pretty much like Underfell (by Underfella). Yes. That's partly the goal. Hopefully, the more you look into it, the more you will see the differences. But if you find it a too triggering detail, try thinking of the two AUs as...different Pokemon versions of a same gen, if you see what I mean.
Last but not least, I feel like it's important for me to tell you this one last time : this book will aboard mature subjects. You're prevented for the last time, from now on, it's your own fault if you find this disturbing. And if I see any complaint about this from one of you, you'll probably receive something like "It's funny how dumb you are".
And, if you're ever interested, I'm always opened to improve my book, so don't hesitate to send me your analysis, tell me about any mistake you spot, and propose your services to help me (I'd really like to add some illustrations to this book). If you want to, of course.
