"Fuck those monsters, fuck this snow, fuck this ENTIRE PLACE ! I'M SO FUCKING FULL OF IT !!!"
As I made my way through the snow, I was so angry, I didn't even feel the cold. Every rock, every branch on my path was in danger of being kicked or crushed. Not even looking in front of me, I kept insulting everything I could think off. After a while, I slipped and fell on the ground... yet again. I wasn't even mad anymore, just fully exhausted.
Why me ? Why do I have to support this ? Will I ever go back home again ? Better give up now.
Yes. Give up. That's the best I can do. They both told me I could never get out. "Those who climb Mt. Ebott never come back". That's it. No more.
As I let my body embrace the cold, I could feel a relaxing warmth close to me, followed by a bright light.
Is this how dying feels like ? That's pretty nice. Is this the paradise ? It's beautiful. At least, I'll leave in peace. Everyone... forgive m- Eh ?!
The light had suddenly disappeared. As I raised my head to see where it went, I saw it again. But something else was standing between me and it. Was that a fl- wait. "OH FUCK NO !!!
"Giving up already, friend ?"
I got up, thinking of a way to escape the now white flower.
"Weren't you supposed to leave me alone ?!"
"I said I wouldn't stop you. Not that I wouldn't interfere anymore." answered Flowey.
"I'm giving up, I'm never getting out of here."
"If you keep going like this, I perfectly trust you."
I stopped.
"What do you mean ?"
"I've heard you (I'm pretty sure the whole Underground did). You hate monsters."
"Uh... well, I kinda said that without meaning it, and..."
"Of course. It's just..."
He looked me dead in the eyes.
"You want to escape, I want you to escape. And you'll have to try MUCH harder if you want to succeed."
"Like what ?"
He grabbed my hand with a vine, and put a small package in it.
"What is that ?"
"Open it."
I obeyed. Opening the paper wrapping, I uncovered a small knife.
"..."
"So ?"
"I'm... not sure to get what you mean."
His face suddenly turned black, and he got closer.
"Well, are you familiar with murder ?"
Suddenly, it became much more clearer. I looked at the weapon.
"N-no..."
"It's the only way." Flowey said. "Why do you even care ? It's not like it matters that much."
I protested.
"I'd never do that !"
His face shifted to ressemble an angry version of mine.
"'Fuck those monsters, I'm full of it, I just want to go home' Those are your own words."
"NO !"
"Alright then, crawl back in the snow, and give up, but know there's no coming back for those who give up their determination. Either, you accept that it's the only solution, or you stay here mourning for the short rest of your life."
"...You know what ?"
"What ?"
I stood up.
"I've made my choice. I'm going. Now, leave."
He smiled.
"Finally some good sense. Well, see you soon, I hope."
And he plunged back into the earth.
I looked at what he was blocking that whole time. A star. Like the ones in the Ruins.
Determination
Yes, I had made my choice, yes I'd keep going. But not to kill. I had found my new motivation. I'd prove I was better than that. I knew there was another way.
I looked at the knife still in my hand, and briefly thought about throwing it away. But I didn't. I wouldn't even need it anyway. "I'd never do such a thing."
