I arrived in a clearing. Nothing interesting in it, except a large destroyed wooden box, and a small lake I could see on my left. I considered grabbing the fishing rod on the ground, but eventually thought it was too bulky to take.

I only did a few more steps before hearing voices coming from ahead :

"I'm just saying, that's a stupid ass idea."

"Shut up ! Even if that was a false alarm, we must practice the obligatory check-up round to make sure everything is fine."

"But I don't FUCKING need you to accompany me !"

"Oh, don't tell me I can fucking trust you now, will you ?!"

Shit.

I tried to hide in the forest, but there was bushes full of thorns, and I probably would get myself stuck in them. They were approaching, and I had no way to hide myself. Come on, there HAS to be an issue !

"Hey ! Who's that over there ?!"

I'm fucked.

The two skeletons were now just in front of me. Sans looked like he was trying his best not to laugh. The other skeleton, the famous "Paps" was taller than me. It was wearing an iron armor with leather boots, and a ripped red cape, whose two sides were held together by a gold chain. Thinner than his brother, it had smaller eye sockets, and (very surprising detail) had three metal spikes embedded into the top part of its skull : two small ones on each side of its forehead, and a much bigger one higher, which was kinda reminiscing of a rhinoceros' horn. He could have, maybe, looked friendly, if there hadn't been, right where his lower jaw should be, a sharp and menacing prosthesis made of scrap metal replacing it, fixed to the rest of his skull by two bolts on each side. A few wires came out of it and were connected to the back of its head. We looked at each other for a few awkward seconds.

"Sans..." he whispered.

"Uh, yeah Paps ?"

"When we're done with this, you and I are going to have a loooong talk."

"Copy that."

"Anyways. *ahem*"

He suddenly took a menacing pose, his finger pointed at me.

"HUMAN ! I, PAPYRUS, TRAP MASTER OF THIS LAND WARNS YOU !"

"And here we go again..." sighed Sans.

"CAPTURING AND BRINGING YOU TO THE KING IS MY DUTY, AND I INTEND TO FULFILL IT ! IF YOU KEEP GOING THIS WAY, YOU'LL HAVE TO FACE OUR EXTREMELY LETHAL TRAPS AND-"

"Uh, well not actually lethal since they're made to capture you n' shit."

"SHUT UP !!! AS I WAS SAYING, YOU'LL HAVE TO FACE OUR EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAPS, AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SURVIVE, THEN YOU MIGHT AS WELL GO BACK TO WHERE YOU COME FROM !!! NYEH HEH HEH-"

His brother suddenly cut him right through his evil laugh.

"Hold on. Bro, did you just say 'Nyeh heh heh' ?"

"What ?! No ! I never say 'Nyeh heh heh' !"

"Well, you clearly just said 'Nyeh heh heh'."

"I would never emit such childish giggle !"

"Maybe, but you clearly said 'Nyeh heh heh'. Hey, you !"

I jumped from surprise, as it took me a moment to realize Sans was talking to me.

"Wh-What ?" I asked.

"You also heard him say 'Nyeh heh heh', right ?"

"I. NEVER. SAY. 'NYEH HEH HEH' !!!" yelled Papyrus from the top of his lungs.

He turned his back to me.

"Come on brother, let's get our traps ready ! This was your first and last warning, human !"

"Coming !" said Sans, simply following his brother. He quickly turned around as he walked away, and winked at me.

In a few seconds, they were both gone.

Well... that was something.
