Kevin held on to Kara tightly and cried his eyes out until he could cry no more. Soon Kevin calmed down. "Feel better?" Kara asked in a comforting manner. "Yeah," sniffled Kevin, "I think I cried harder than I did when I saw Revenge of the Sith." He chuckled a little. "There's one thing I don't understand," said Kara, "I get that you managed to survive getting killed by your psycho dad... what I don't get is HOW you did. No offense on the psycho part."
"None taken," said Kevin, "if you come with me, I'll show you." Kara nodded, trusting Kevin. They walked all the way to the dog park where the blue police phone booth was. "What are we doing here?" Kara asked, confused. "You'll see for yourself," promised Kevin. He then opened the door and went inside. Kara followed him and went inside as well. Inside the phone box was what looked to be the inside of a spaceship from another planet! It looked far different from the rocket[s] Kara and Kal had ridden in when they were rocketed to Earth. As Kevin shut the door, Kara said, "Great Rao..." Kevin then said, "Hey Doc! I'm back from my performance! And I brought company!" Then an Irish voice replied, "Aye, back already Kevin? Sorry I couldn't be there, how was the performance?" The source of the voice was Kevin's Wheaten Terrier Doc, who was now wearing a brown trenchcoat and a blue bowtie. "Doc? You can talk?" Kara asked, surprised. "Aye, of course I can," said the terrier, "I am a canine Time Lord. I much prefer ta be called Dr. Woof. Nice to make your acquaintance, Kara Danvers." He sneezed out of excitement, wagging his little stub of a tail. "Dr. Woof here and this spaceship are from an extinct planet known as Gallifrey," explained Kevin, "he's one of the last of his kind."
"So you know what it's like to be the last of your kind too, huh?" asked Kara as she gently pet Dr. Woof. "Indeed," said Dr. Woof, "sorry I couldn't be there to see ya last performance Kevin." Kevin nodded and said, "It's okay Dr. Woof. They don't allow dogs, so it's understandable." Kara looked around the inside and asked, "what is this spaceship? I get that it's from Gallifrey, but how come it looks like a phone box?" She was amazed. "It's not only a spaceship, it's a time machine," said Dr. Woof, "it has the ability to travel through space, time, reality, and other alternate dimensions. It has traveled through variant versions of the Speed Force, and has traveled to the Multiverse on more than one occasion. I call it the Time And Relative Dimensions In Space." Kevin nodded and said, "TARDIS for short. The reason it looks like a phone booth is because the TARDIS normally has a camouflage mode and it camouflaged into a police box but then it malfunctioned and it's stayed that way ever since." Kara nodded and asked, "I like it. So this TARDIS was your way of surviving your Dad?" Kevin nodded and replied, "I ran for my life after I witnessed The Batman Who Laughs gun down my surrogate family. He was right behind me and ready to kill me when Dr. Woof and his TARDIS just came out of nowhere. Doc came out and said, ello, I'm Dr. Woof. Care to leave this dreadful place? I didn't have much of a choice. Either get killed by my Joker Dad hybrid, or go with the talking dog and get the hell out of Dodge. My survival instincts took over and I went with Dr. Woof. He basically saved my life. If I hadn't joined him, I'd be dead as a doornail. He helped me find a place, this particular earth, and I've been his companion since." Dr. Woof smiled with pride. "So you live here?" Kara asked. "Basically," said Kevin, "I mean, it isn't the most comfortable living, but it is what it is." Kara held Kevin's hand and asked, "does it scare you? The idea that your psychotic dad could potentially find you on this earth?"
"Yeah, it does," admitted Kevin, "but I guess I'm a bit like my dad. Too stubborn to die." Kara hesitated then said, "Kevin... you deserve to live in a more suitable home. No offense, Dr. Woof." Dr. Woof scratched his left ear with his hind leg and said, "none taken Kara. I do agree with her. The TARDIS is no place to simply sleep in for a lad like you, Kevin. Especially when I have to go on all sorts of adventures" Kevin hesitated and said, "I get that, but it wouldn't be easy trying to find a home..." Kara blushed and said, "you could live with me and my parents." Kevin nervously asked, "you sure? I wouldn't want to be a burden on you and your parents... especially with everything I've been through. Plus there's the fact that I'm a Catholic..." Kara chuckled, "don't say that. My parents like you. And it's like I said, they never have anything negative to say. It'll be okay." Dr. Woof nuzzled on Kevin and said, "she's right. Take the offer my boy. I'll be okay." Kevin smiled and said, "alright, I'll do it." He bent down and rubbed Dr. Woof's chin and said, "thank you for everything, Dr. Woof."
