Lilian Carson POV

"It's you, Titus Davidson," said Alexander, and soon the sound of a gunshot echoed through the room.

I closed my eyes tightly, bracing myself for the worst. But when I opened them, I saw Titus laughing; he was not dead. Alexander was smirking too. Who was shot?

My eyes lay on the pool of blood. Hannah's arm was bleeding profusely, and she was clutching it in pain. It was then that I realized she was the one who had been shot. Panic surged through me as I rushed to her side, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. Titus and Alexander stood there, their laughter fading.

Why did Alexander shoot her? Hannah's face was pale, and she was in shock. I frantically searched for a motive, but nothing made sense. The confusion and fear grew as I awaited an explanation from Alexander, who now stood silent and remorseful.

"Sorry for the act; the mole is actually Hannah Margaret, one of my close workers, who keeps an eye on me almost every day," Alexander said sarcastically with a smirk.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Alexander's words echoed in my ears, the sarcasm dripping from his voice. Hannah Margaret, the person I trusted, was a mole. My mind raced with questions. How could we have been so blind? I felt a mix of anger and betrayal wash over me as I stared at Hannah, still in shock from the gunshot wound. Why did she do that?

Was it for money? Power? Revenge? I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that someone I considered a friend would betray me in such a brutal way. The room felt heavy with tension as the truth settled in, and I struggled to make sense of the situation. Hannah, now slumped against the wall, avoided my gaze, her eyes filled with guilt and regret. But her silence only fueled my anger, and I found myself demanding answers. "Why, Hannah? Why did you do this?" I yelled, my voice trembling with a mix of hurt and frustration.

"Now you are going to be a good woman and tell me about everything you know; if not, you are going to be tortured," said Titus. Hannah's facial expressions changed; she looked more furious now. Hannah started laughing; it looked like she had just lost her mind. Her laughter echoed through the room, sending chills down my spine. I couldn't understand how she could find any of this amusing. The tension in the air grew thicker as I awaited her response, desperate for some semblance of an explanation.

"I will rather die than tell you anything. Alexander, your time is over, and because of you, poor Lilian is going to suffer." Hannah's words pierced through the silence, leaving me stunned and confused. The weight of her accusation sank in, leaving me with a sinking feeling in my chest.

As soon as Hannah finished talking, she quickly took out her ring; a capsule was hidden inside it, and she gulped it down. I watched in horror as Hannah's face twisted in pain and her body convulsed uncontrollably. Panic surged through me as I realized she had just taken her own life to protect whatever secret she held. I frantically searched for answers, desperate to understand what had driven Hannah to such extreme measures. But as her lifeless body crumpled to the ground, I knew I would never find the closure I so desperately sought. Tears streamed down my face.

"Fuck cyanide!" said Alexander loudly. Cyanide? She was carrying it inside her ring. I couldn't comprehend how Hannah had obtained cyanide or why she would choose such a method to end her life. The discovery of the deadly substance hidden in her ring only deepened the mystery surrounding her actions. As I stood there, overwhelmed with grief and confusion, I couldn't help but wonder what secrets Hannah had been protecting and why they were worth sacrificing her own life for. But what does she mean when she says I will suffer because of Alexander? She was the mole; I don't even know if I should believe her. But she seemed serious.
