Peter POV

Ever since I ran into the new girl, Y/N, in the hallway I haven't been able to get her off my mind. I don't know why. I guess maybe...I thought we could be friends. As if...she looked like a really popular and intelligent girl and I am just a nerd to everybody at school.

I noticed that she was in my AP Calculus class, and I tried to get her attention to try to break up the awkwardness of our first meeting, but she had disappeared out of class before I could even finish calling her name. Actually, she was in all of my classes and each time was the same: she seemed to disappear before I could even finish calling her name. It was almost like she was avoiding me, avoiding everyone actually, like she was hiding something. I know the feeling, trust me.

At lunch I saw her sitting by herself in the cafeteria, so there was no way of her escaping. I actually wanted to introduce her to Ned and MJ so she wouldn't feel so alone.

"Hey Y/N! I have been trying to get your attention all day!"

Y/N's POV

Oh there he comes. Ok, ok. Act natural. You're fine...you're totally fine. You're a Stark for crying out loud. Remember though at school you are a Smith, your mom is an FBI agent, your dad is overseas on business, and you live with your uncle. (which was Happy btw)

"Hey Peter...uhm I must not have heard you. What's up?" I asked nervously

"I just wanted to introduce you to my friends, Ned and MJ, and apologize for running into you," he answered

"Hey looser" MJ said.

I wasn't sure if MJ didn't like me or that was just her personality. I'd have to ask her later, she seemed pretty cool though.

"Yo Y/N, I'm Ned kinda like Peter's sidekick...you know 'cause he's Spi-" he was cut off as Peter jabbed him in the ribs.

"Yeah...Spitball man! You...know kinda a school legend...I guess" Peter blurted out

Odd...

Peter POV

SPITBALL MAN! SPITBALL MAN! OF ALL THE THINGS YOU COULD HAVE SAID THAT IS WHAT YOU SAID! I am trying to make a good impression and not look like a total weirdo. There was something special about Y/N I guess. I don't know...but something about her had triggered my Spidey sense. Not sure why. There was almost this draw to her but something told me to be cautious, like she was dangerous. I bet I'm just overreacting though.

"Hey, we all kinda hang out at the coffee shop down the road, The Mocking Bird, usually after school to catch up and work on homework. You are welcome to join us...I mean only if you want"

Wow, smooth one Parker. Gotta work on that confidence, Mr. Stark keeps telling me that.

"I would love to, but my uncle works a tight shift and has to pick me up at a certain time though. Maybe another day? Thank you for the invitation though. It was so nice to meet you guys!

Ned and MJ then walked off to go grab their lunch but I already grabbed mine so I sat down next to Y/N.

"Hey again...I'm really sorry about running into you in the hallway. I was busy talking to Ned about his Lego Star Destroyer I didn't see you..." again Peter nerd vibes with the legos. "Uhh...forget what I said about the legos..."

Y/N giggled the cuttest little laugh I have every heard. Her big eyes lit up and I could tell her wall had come down a little. Ok...maybe I wasn't doing so bad afterall!

"Peter, for the last time it was my fault. I shouldn't have running in the halls; its just been a whirlwind of a day. And about the legos, to be perfectly honest, I still love them too. They are absolutly timeless. Not to mention starwars is absolute fire." she said with a smile.

"Do you mind if I get your number? I mean....just in case you have any questions about class...I mean...uh...since we are the same classes. Or just in case you wanna hang out."

"Sure!"

After that MJ and Ned came back and we continued talking over lunch until it was time for class.

After the bell rang, I rushed out of class, ready to get home and get on Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man duty. I noticed Y/N rushed out as well but I didn't see her ride. Funny, she said her uncle was picking her up. Maybe they had a change of plans. Just in case I wanted to make sure she got out ok, so I stealthily followed her.

After about a block or so, I saw her hop into a black limosine. Both the car and the driver seemed strangely familiar. It didn't hit me who the drive was until I heard Y/N say "Hey Happy! Let's get moving, I have a mountain of homework to do. Can we get icecream on the way home?"

HAPPY! HAPPY, Mr. Starks bodyguard, is Y/N's uncle! Something here seemed off; I'd have to ask Y/N about it tomorrow. I take that back...I can't or she'll know I followed her...which that's creepy right? She just kept getting more and more confusing.
