Peter's POV

After loading into one of the Quinjets and Tony in his suit, we headed out as fast as we could. I don't know if my anxiety and nausea were from the fact that this was my first time in one of these things or that Y/N could be dead or alive. Probably a combination of both. All I wanted was to know she was safe, not just for my sake but ultimately for her's and the Avengers. They all loved her so much. Selfishly, I wanted to say that I loved her the most, but in reality I didn't. Even though we had only kissed once,  just a quick innocent one, it ignited a love for her that I never had felt for anyone else.

Interupting my thoughts Tony spoke over the coms, "Ok, what's the plan?"

"I thought you had a plan, Mr. Stark?"

"No kid, Caps the leader. He make's the plans."

Strange, especially since the whole mission was about rescuing his daughter.

"Ok, we know that the facility Y/N is being kept at is relatively small with only one story. Her transmission was tracked to the west side of the building, her cell apearing on an exterior wall. So we need to set off a diversion on the east side and draw most of their troops there, Banner and I will handle that, with help of the Hulk of course." He glanced in Banner's direction looking for his consent. He nodded timidly. "Tony and Peter will blast the wall and get Y/N. Nat will monitor from here, and Thor and Clint will be backup. Remember, we are trying to make a surpise attack, get Y/N, and get out, not start a war. Let's go, Let's go!"

Nat dropped me off before the rest of the guys, with the help of a parachute. Mr. Stark was not in the lift-giving mood. An explosion was our cue to knock down our wall and extract Y/N. I hid behind a bush while Mr. Stark monitored the air.

Within minutes an explosion was set off sending shock waves through the groud. Before I had even gathered my wits, Mr. Stark had blown out the wall. Because it was one of Hydra's older facilities, it crumbled easily. Out of nowhere, gunshots rang out all around us.

"Kid, get in there and get Y/N. I'll hold these guys off and then come get you."

"Ok, Mr. Stark!" I swung into the building, over the rumble and the flames. I looked around the room. Nothing. Just a lab table...wait...there was a trail of blood from the table out the door. I bust down the door and followed the blood to the next room, where it continued through the door. Before opening it, a shocking sight left me weak. The door was convered in dents, it looked like from severe impact from a punch, scratched, and blood...Y/N was in there.

I tried to mentally prepare myself for what I would see next...but nothing could and ever will erase that bone-chilling sight. I slowly opened the door and stepped inside. Those few moments standing there speechless, felt like an entrance into hell. The flames, the rumble, the smoke, her lifeless body in a pool of blood.

After awakening from my trance, I rushed over to Y/N's lifeless form, laying on her side, back to me, in a pool of her own blood. I was scared to touch her, fearing her face might reveal the horrid look of death. Finally I mustered up the courage and gently slid my arm under her neck and under her legs. When her face slumped to where I could see it, I saw it bruised and battered, coated in blood from a huge gash by her temple, and hair stuck to her face. As I tried to brush the hair out of her face and unstick it, I felt my other hand graze over a wet cavity on her arm. Confused, I looked and saw the huge hole through her arm, stuffed with something. Luckily whatever they had plugged it with had stoped some of the bleeding, but it looked like it had also attached itself to her causing an infection.

The next minutes were a whirlwind. Sensing the flames were to high on the other side of the wall for Mr. Stark to blow it out without blowing us up too, I carried Y/N bridal style, attempting to hold her limp neck up, and sprinted down the hallway back to the room I had entered. The flames were too high. The flames also had crept their way down the hallway and blocked any exit. Right when I thought all hope was lost, Mr. Stark came walking through the fire, grabbed me with Y/N still in my arms. I reached my arms out, silently offering Y/N's body, I didn't know whether dead or alive, but he turned his head in refussal.
