Nat's POV
"Tony! What the hell was that!" Steve yelled holding Tony by the collar of his shirt
Tony yanked himself away. " Language Cap!" Tony answered mockingly. "What? I was just having a little chat with my kid. Is that not allowed Cap?" Tony answered back moving closer towards Steve.
"You don't derserve to have her at all! But you were the one lucky enough to have her and yet you still act like she doesn't exist. LIKE SHE'S NOT EVEN A HUMAN BEING!" Steve yelled moving inches away from Tony's face.
"Yo, guys break it up. Number one, Tony what the hell was that? Number two, Steve let's try to keep this convo as peaceful as possible. So hands to yourselves, both of you. My god, what a bunch of five year olds." I rolled my eyes.
"So, last time, why Tony?" Steve asked calmly I knew though he was about ready to choke Tony to death. Steve had always had this protective paternal nature when it came to dealing with Y/N like she was his. I guess it's becuase Steve would have done anything to have a family and Tony was blessed with one and took it for granted, so he felt connected to Y/N.
"I don't...I DON'T KNOW OK? There something about her that just grates on my last nerve. Ahh! She walkes in the room and I want to jump off a building. I guess...ever since that mind reading girl...Wanda..messed with my brain; that vision was just so real. Y/N was there and I-"
But before he could finish, a blood curdling screamed came from Y/N's room.
"STEVE! HELP! AHHHHHH!!!!!"
"What the hell!!" Steve screamed and bolted from the living room upstairs with the rest of us following.
Y/N's POV
Wait, I literaly felt myself dematerialize. I looked down at my hands and was shocked to see that I was flickering. I was loosing control over my powers; I couldn't let that happen again. This time though there was a strange throbbing pain in my head, my whole body was going numb, and the room began spinning. Out of pure terror and confusion, I let out a shrill scream.
"STEVE! HELP! AHHHHHH!!!!!" Out of pure instinct, I cried out to the person who I knew would always be there.
It felt like hours before I heard anyone come into my room. By the time Steve and the other came in I was on the floor in tears flickering like a dying lightbulb
"Y/N what's wrong?" Steve yelled at me but it was useless. I was incapable of making any other sounds other than my sobs.
"Steve, don't let it happen again! Don't let it swallow me again! Please...please." I pleaded as Steve grabbed me attempting to hold me in his harms to calm me down but it was useless. I kept slipping through his arms everytime I would flicker.
"Nat! Where's Tony? What do we do? I don't even know what's wrong!" Steve yelled at Nat.
Nat motioned to the door where my dad stood. Steve looked at him nonverbally looking for an answer. My dad shrugged and walked away leaving Steve and Nat searching for answers.
"Peter. Y/N's phone now Steve. If this doesn't work nothing will!" She motioned towards my phone, found Peter's number and called him. (I had told Nat about Peter and she promised to keep him a secret)
I don't remember much of what happened next but blackness, Peter's calm voice, and blackness again.
Peter's POV
"Hey Y/N what's up?"
"Hey kid its me. No time for questions. I need you here STAT. It's Y/N"
"Oh...ok...Nat why are you calling from Y/N's phone?"
"I said no question," and she hung up.
"Ok then..."
Strange that Nat called me at all but every stranger she called from Y/N's phone. Wait....she said something was wrong with Y/N...no she didn't just chill. She said its about Y/N...but if it wasn't something why did she call from Y/N's phone...it's nothing...probably....but just in case its something I'm gonna throw my suit in my backpack. Oh man, I hope Y/N's ok. If anything happened to her I...I don't know what I would do...
I swung over to the Stark tower as fast as I could.
Weird the door was open....I walked right in. I didn't really know where Y/N's room was but I followed the voice...and was that screams? I quickened my pace and rushed to the room about to come in when I paused at the doorway. There was Y/N, on the floor writhing in obvious pain, tears streaming down her face with Steve trying to comfort her. Was she flickering...or was that me...no she was definately flickering if thats even the right term for it.
I walked slowly up behind Nat.
"Thank god you are here."
"What's wrong?" I asked perplexed and on the verge of tears.
"We have no idea. We have tried everything. There was just a scream, and then we came up here to find her like this. I didn't know what else to do. She seems to trust you the most and I guess maybe you could comfort her. We all have tried but nothing works." She wispered.
I crouched down on the floor next to Y/N and across from Steve. He was trying his best to hold back his tears.
I grabbed Y/N's small hands. Everytime she "flickered" though they would fall through mine.
"It's ok. It's all gonna be ok...just calm down...I'm right here"
She stopped sobbing and looked into my eyes. At this point she almost had completely disapeared, her body almost transparent. Overcome with fatigue she collapsed onto the floor, not moving at all.
At this point I broke. Even though I reassured Y/N everything was ok and was gonna be alright...I had no idea!!! I didn't even know what was wrong...I think maybe...I was more reassuring myself...I guess.
As I looked up I saw that the shadow of the lump of Y/N was on two walls. Strange....one was perfectly normal...obeyed all the laws of light....but the other one was lighter but clearer and contradicted every know law in which light acts...was Y/N turning into a shadow...
