Everyone cheered on for who they thought was gonna win. I stayed mostly quiet trying to focus on the fight.
Viper was good but he was rusty, it was obvious he hadn't fought in a while and Blade was using that to his advantage.
As viper went into punch Blade, Blade blocked it and throat punched Viper knocking him to his knees. It wasn't looking good before and at this rate, he had no chance.
Maxence looked at smirking and said, "Get the money, ready princess."
I could feel anger rising up and if I was still Moon he would have been knocked on his ass.
So I did the stupidest thing I could have done. I ran up to the railing that protected us from the ledge and screamed at the top of my lungs the one thing that I used to say to him when I would watch him fight as Moon, "COME ON V YOUR DISAPPOINTING ME."
Alessandro, Maxence, Anfansy, and Mira all looked at me questioningly, but I knew it was the only way he had a chance. I wasn't only trying to win the bet, but in a way, it was my apology.
He stopped fighting because of me and I'm not gonna let him loose because of me.
*Alessandro POV*
We all watched as Maxence clearly tried to annoy Theodora. Her pale grey eyes slightly darkened at Maxence as they both tried to out-bid each other in a dumb bet over who would win the fight.
She gave off this confident vibe like she knew something we didn't. Even while we entered the building earlier, she walked as if she knew the in's and out's of this place.
It's kind of odd, she seemed like she would never come to this sort of place, but maybe I was wrong. Did she know something we didn't?
Not to mention the fact she walked in the building with such an air of confidence that people moved out of her way as if she was their biggest threat. Real badass and not gonna lie, hot as fuck.
Most would think that the people were moving out the way for me, but I knew this time it was her, she had caused their fright and she seemed to be unaffected by it. Like it was normal for her.
I was about to tell Maxence to quit annoying her but before I could do that she ran up to the railing and screamed that a supposed "V" was disappointing her.
Who was V? Does she know him? Are they close?
Realizing Viper was V we all looked at her questioningly wondering why she would call him V. She seemed to go stiff at the realization but turned away and focused back on the fight before us.
We were all shocked to see that in the small time that we looked away Viper had already knocked Blade to the ground and was looking around through the crowd like he was trying to find someone.
He was probably looking for Moon. Oh, aren't we all buddy? I doubt anyone would, not only the poisons but multiple other Mafias had tried as well, but from what I have seen she wasn't going to be found, that's unless she wanted to of course.
*Theodora's POV*
Fuck, why would I do that, I not only put my secret at risk but my safety, my life, my mother.
Maxence, Afanasy, Mira all looked at me confused but Alessandro... he watched me as if I was trying to figure me out.
I looked back at the arena trying to ignore their stares.
