The fight

Annie walked into their bedroom from their attached bathroom to see kaneki sitting on the bed with his head down. Kaneki noticed her presence and stood up he looked at her with sad eyes as Annie looked at him with no emotion.

Kaneki finally had the courage and spoke up.

"Annie I can explain what happened," he said.

Annie ignored his words and asked, " how long?"

Kaneki stayed quiet not wanting to tell.

"Kaneki tell me those phone calls you get was it her?" she asked again but no answer.

Kaneki stood in front of her head down not having the courage to talk or look at her.

that only made Annie angry.

" did you really go visit Hide when you said you did," she asked.

" Ne Kaneki, I thought family don't tell lies or keep secrets?!" she asked in an angry tone.

" you went and had another child with another woman" she shouted at him.

" stop standing there and talk to me," she said lowering her tone.

Tears flowed out both their eyes kaneki slowly raised his head and said.

" I'm sorry"

"you're sorry after all this time the lies you told me and our family!"

" I said I'm sorry I didn't mean for it happened ok!" he shouted.

" ha, you didn't mean for to happen?!" she shouted one more time.

" Annie will you just shut up and let me explain!?" He shouted once more.

"guess what you don't have to explain?" she said catching her breath and told kaneki the words that he wished he didn't want to hear.

" tomorrow spend the day with the kids and when your done leave and go live with your other family," she said looking down at her hair covering her face.

"Annie..... you can't do that"

" well I guess I just did," she said walking back into the bathroom to cool herself down.

slamming the door behind her Kaneki stood there staring at the place Annie was standing with wide eyes tears streaming down his face

kaneki turned around to walk out the bedroom door opening the door he spotted a boy with black hair with tears streaming down his eyes with his head down and a book in his left hand.

Ray had come to his parent's bedroom because he wanted his father to read a book to him after waking up and being able to go back to sleep.

but he heard fighting between his parents he stood there and listen he was shocked at what his father had done.

"Ray" kaneki said under his breath as he looked at the boy In a shocked state.

Slowly looking up Ray had tears flowing out of his eyes as he forced on a smile. 

" papa was this what you were protecting us from?" he asked but kaneki didn't answer.

Ray sighed and walked away from the door to the bathroom he and his siblings shared and looked in the mirror his Kakugan was showing with tears streaming out of it.

Ray blinked and it disappeared the 8-year-old boy let out another sigh, he went to the library that was down the hall with a sad smile.

' All the books and stories I read they all had happy endings what happened to ours' he thought to himself.

shortly Annie came out of the bathroom and Kaneki came back into the room as they went to bed in silence no "I love you's" or hugging each other.

They went to sleep their back facing each other as they went to sleep.

' I'm sorry darling I didn't mean for it to be like this' he thought before closing his eyes as tears streamed out.
