Bitter Sweet World

  It was a new day after school. Today I didn't walk home with Axel. Instead , I went to the vet for Paya's first vaccine whike he stayed at school to practice more with the piano.

It was just me and a woman with a crying baby in the waiting room. Her Great Dane was calmly sitting mext to her but she was struggling to soothe her baby.

  " Shhh , I'm here, Im here. " She said , trying to soothe the baby.

The baby continued crying. She tried feeding him , tried cradling , checked his diaper and tried to entertain him with his toy but her baby did not stop crying.

She started to panick when the baby's face started getting red. She started crying because she had no idea what to do. It seemed to have remind me when I was on nursery duties... I know what was going on. I got up and walked over to her.

" Excuse me... If I may." I said.

She looked at me , still crying , and handed me her baby. I started cradling him gently in my arms wuth his body on his left side. Instarted gently patting his back.

" Hey... It's okay , little prince~ " I said softly.

He started cooing a bit until he was fully calm. I looked at her.

" He needed stomach support. Must be some gas bothering his tummy." I said.

She wiped her tears.

" T-thank you. Are you a mother?" She asked.

I shook my head.

" Nursery training." I said.

She smiled at me.

" You'll be an amazing mother one day." She said.

I blushed a bit.

" Thank you... " I said , shyly.

I handed her baby back to her gently.

" Paya." One of the vets called out.

I looked over at Paya who had stayed in the same spot.

" Come on , Paya " I said.

She followed me. The vet led us to a room and I placed Paya on the exam in table.

" And are you Mrs. Dean?" She asked.

" I'm sorry?" I said , off gaurd.

" Are you Mrs. Dean?" She asked again.

" .... Mrs. Dean?" I asked.

" Yeah. It says here Madaline and Axel Dean adopted Paya. " She said , showing me the copy of the paper.

" O-oh! Yes , yes but we're not married." I said , blushing.

" Ah! I'm so sorry. " She giggled.

I started playing with my fingers a bit.

" No , no. I like it..." I said , shyly.

She giggled again.

" Alright. Well , let me get everything set up for Paya Dean." She said as she left the room to grab some stuff.

" Madaline Zelda Dean... " I mumbled , blushing as I played with a strand of hair.

Paya whined. I looked at her and gently petted her.

" Don't worry , princess. It'll only sting for a moment." I said before kissing the top of her head.

She wagged her tell and stopped when she saw the vet. She prepared the syringe before gave Paya her shot. Paya whined a bit but stopped once I was over.
