Shocking Surprises

  Today was March 23, Rija's birthday. Axel was working so I was home alone, making a video call with Rija. We were just chatting after I had wished her a happy birthday.

" Oh, by the way, I won't be able to go to your party tonight. " I said.

<" Aww~ Why not? > She asked, as she ate some chips.

" Lately, I haven't been feeling so well. I even had to cancel a photo shoot for DI4MONDZ. " I said.

<" You feel sick? Is the baby causing you trouble?" > She asked.

I nodded.

" I feel sick and exhausted. I've also been getting a few pains. Nothing harsh, just a few little bothersome feelings. " I said.

<" You should have that checked."> She said.

" I called Dr.Campbell. She said feeling exhausted is normal but if I keep feeling any pain, I should contact her again to get that checked up. " I said.

<" Is that why you also didn't go to school today?" > She said.

I nodded.

<" Does Axel know?" > She asked before eating a chip.

" No. I don't want him to worry. At least not until I know for sure there's something wrong. I don't want to make him feel anxious when there's probably no issue with Marshall."

<" I guess you're right. > 

I sighed softly before gently petting Paya since she was laying over my belly.

" So, how's your relationship with Theo." I teased.

She bit her lip.

<" He's a whole snack of a gentleman~"> She said.

I giggled a bit.

" I'm assuming he'll be over for your birthday"

<" Definitely.">

" Lucy told me a week ago that she's pregnant. Do you know if she's doing alright?"

<" Oh, totally. She's been feeling a bit sick but she's doing well." >

" You're next." I teased.

She shook her head.

<" Heck nah~ I mean I want a baby but not yet. I still want to enjoy my life. Besides, I'm not even married to Theo." > She said with a giggle.

I laughed a bit.

" I'm joking. Take your time."

< " Will do." > She looked at the time. <"Oh-- I have to go. Theo is arriving any minute. >

" Alright. Have fun and Happy Birthday." I said.

<" Thanks, lindura (cutie). Bye, pupper~"> She giggled as she waved at Paya before waving at me.

I waved back before hanging up and sighing softly.

" Look's like it's just you, Marshall and me now to wait for daddy." I said softly to Paya.

She looked up at me, wagging her tail. I sighed again, letting her with a small smile.

[ Seven Days Later ]

Today was March 30, two days after Dea's birthday. I had spent the day before yesterday just staying at home but I did wish Dea a happy birthday.

I was still feeling a bit ill but when I went to the Dr.Campbell to get checked, she told me everything was completely fine.
