He's Mine Either Way

It's been a few days or so after having return from Hawaii. Today was the last day of college before our Chirstmas break.

I was walking over to find Axel when I heard voices of girls surrounding his voice. I stopped and peaked from the corner of the hallway wall without them noticing.

" Do you get nervous when playing on stage?" One of them asked.

He shrugged.

" Back when I was still a teen, but not as much anymore." He said calmly.

" Really? How did you overcome it?" Another asked.

Hm, there is nothing bad going on so far yet.

" I just focus on the music and have support from others, which helps." Axel said.

" I heard they're looking for a pianist to play at the Crystal Apple Christmas Party. Are you going to audition? Its a pretty big deal." One of them said.

He shrugged a little.

" I don't know yet. I'll think about it." He said.

" You should! I'm sure they'll choose you in no time!" One said and the others quickly agreed.

" And you're so hot~" One blurted out.

They looked at her and I rolled my eyes.

" Duhh~ " I said and they all had said the same thing at the same time as me.

" Thanks, but I'm sure another person would get it, there's plenty of other great pianists as well." Axel said.

" Well-- Yeah but not as hot." The girl said.

The other girls glared at her and so did I. She blinked a few times before looking down at the ground in embarrassment.

" It's a great opportunity to finally get a little more notice. Who knows, maybe your songs will reach a high peak." One of them said.

I pouted a bit, realizing that this should have been my talk... Not a group of girls ...

" Great..." I said under my breathe, a bit sad.

I started walking away. I bumped into Mr. Ricci again.

" Oh-- I'm so sorry, Mr. Ricci..." I said.

" Oh, it's alright. Why the long face?" He asked.

I scratched my cheek a bit.

" Well... Sometimes I wonder if I, myself, am being a terrible fiancee... "

" You? A terrible fiancee? That boy beams with sparkles in his eyes when he looks at you. And the jealous look on his face when that harp boy talks to you."

I opened my mouth to speak but then I looked at him, puzzled.

" Wait what? " I asked.

" The guy that sits next to you." He said.

" Spencer, I know but I'm refering to Axel. He-- He spies on me during his free time when I'm in class. " I asked.

" All the time."

" I-- Wait-- How do you know that?"

" I always see him when I pass by. "

" No-- About Spencer. How do you know Spencer sits next to me?"

" Well I've peaked to see what Axel would be staring at and he's always staring at you and glaring at Spencer."

" Oh... Makes sense, I guess."
