Not The Ordinary

[ Vision, One Year Ago ]

After Mr. Turgenev's party, Damon and I talked it out and I decided to keep supervising the training. More so... I was still trying to get his attention, hoping he'd leave Falise and Edigan alone... But also because I was falling in love with Axel...

After training, I walked up to him though Nick got in my way.

" Hey, there~ " Nick said.

" No." I said, pushing him out of my way before reaching Axel.

" Dean." I said.

He raised his eyebrow a little when looking over at Nick before looking at me.

" Oh, hi." He said.

" Your angling needs a little work but I'm suprised to say that you're a really skilled fighter." I said.

" Uh, right... Thanks. I'll go work on that..." He turned his head away.

" I can help you." I said.

" ...No its fine..." He placed his hands in his pockets.

" Are you... Sure? I wouldn't mind to--"

" Like I said it's fine..."

I looked down at the ground.

" Right..." I said before walking away.

Day after the day, I tried again. He showed no interest and I had even made an agreement with Blood Cryer to stay longer. He just... Didnt seem to be interested... The only thing left to do now is being direct...

After yet another day after training, Caleb and Nick were walking out and Mr. Turgenev was talking to Axel.

" Damon... Can you go talk to Mr. Turgenev about todays observation?" I said.

" Uh-- Sure." He said before getting up.

He walked over to Mr. Turgenev amd then they bith walked out. As soon as they did, I walked over to Axel and brushed my finger over his arm.

" Are you going to keep ignoring me?" I asked softly.

He backed away a tiny bit.

" And if I say yes..." He said.

I could just hear my heart breaking a little but I didnt want to give up yet.

" Come on... You dont have to play hard to get. " I said softly, stepping a little closer and brushing my finger over his chest.

He grabbed my hand before placing it down.

" Madaline, stop...." He said.

I blinked a few times, having to feel a few tears forming in my eyes.

" Why?.... " I asked, my voice starting to sound a little shakey.

" Us... It can never happen... You don't need me." He said.

I looked down as tears started streaming down my face. I wanted to stop but more kept streaming down..

" It's because you still want her... Don't you?" I clentched on my fist, starting to feel angered. " Why?! Why can't you just love someone who wants you for you and believed you no matter what you are?! Someone who was willing to be there for you and help you get through! Someone who was willing to make you happy after all the misery you had to go through!"

I started crying more and I looked down at the ground again.

" No, you're right... Maybe I'm just being delusional... You'll get tired of me after a while because Im not worth anything..." I looked up at him. " I hope your life gets better... I'm sorry for bothering you..."
