It had started off as a normal day, everything was alright. Until it wasn't. James and Regulus didn't think that anything could go wrong, but things always had to go wrong. They didn't know that morning when the sun starting rising and they thought that their problems were completely gone, that in fact they weren't. They would soon be reminded of this, and their bliss would be short lived. They didn't know that yet, so their day had started off normal and hopeful.

James was upstairs finishing his model of the tiny town in which him and his new husband live. Godric's hollow. He was just trying to finish the tree adorning the grave yard when he spotted something move on one of the many houses he spent hours building . As he adverted his eyes towards the movement. His eyes land on a furry body of a small spider. Cupping his hands he picked up the spider carefully and walked over to the window in the attic. Placing it down almost with a reverence he watched as it crawled through the open window. Dusting his hands together James went back to his small model. He was working on this for some time. After standing up straight stretching his arms above his head he started relishing about his new life. It had been a couple weeks since him and his husband had moved into their dream home. It was everything they ever wanted. Two stories, perfectly old and furnished. All the antique items were still left in it, making the home appear entirely lost in time. Tucked away in a small alcove of trees, where you could only see it if you you were looking for it, it added to the illusion. This was everything they had asked for large, spacey, and private. After years of fighting his husbands parents they had finally been able to get married. It had been rough trying to hide and hold out through their high school years but they had made it. He was lucky to have been able to marry his high school sweetheart. James muddled over this for a long time before his thoughts had instead turned to what he was going to make for dinner, as his husband was absolutely atrocious at cooking. After a couple minutes he heard the familiar sound of light footsteps coming up the stairs. A small smile formed on James lips when he turned around seeing his new husband. He had seen Regulus before of course, but every time he saw him, his breath went away a little more. The smile on James face grew wider as Regulus walked towards him and said

"The model looks better than it did at our old flat" Coming to his side Regulus rested his head on James shoulder. Several minutes had gone by before Regulus muttered and said

"So full of cobwebs and dust,"

Instead of trying to find the duster amidst all their boxed stuff he just ignored it and moved on. Regulus turning his attention to unpacking had removed his head and started moving the boxes in the attic to large closet opposite of him, chatting the entire time he was doing it. Regulus had started to try and dust the top of the window sill with his sleeve to get rid of the cobwebs when James grabbed his hand and led him towards the couch. Pulling down Regulus on top of him James hummed in satisfaction. Laughing Regulus gave up struggling and layed his head on his chest. After a minute of sitting there they are brought back to reality by the sound of a car pulling in the driveway. Groaning Regulus got up pulling James with him. James walked over to the window with Regulus right behind him. Pulling back the floral curtains they looked down at the yard of their property. Below them was burgundy car with silver lining on the door handles. The green lawn they had spent weeks making green and perfect were steaked with black tire marks. The woman driving said car came walking in her perfect black pumps, dress suit, and brown hair streaked with blonde, with a little blonde boy skipping along behind her. The couple both knew who this was as they only knew one person with that much money and that poor of driving skills They knew what was about to come. Before Regulus could go James went over to the next room about to open the door leading to the lower level of the house, fluttering the curtains behind him. After stopping to look at Regulus James had declared
