Chapter 14

Imane's POV

I turn back around to see Jared driving away. I swing the door open and step inside. Janet and Rae were sitting at the table talking. They both turn to the door when they hear me close it, "Oh Imane you're back" Rae says, "I was hoping you would go and stay the night with Jared" she says as she sips a cup.

"Rae we are just-" I start but Rae cuts me off.

"Just friends, yeah yeah yeah" she says, "Have you seen any romantic movie ever, you two start out of friends then become lovers" Rae says.

"It was just a dinner" I say as I walk over to the table with them. I sit down next to them.

"Rae why do you want them together?" Janet asks.

"Have you seen those two together, they are super cute together" Rae says as I hide my head in my hands trying to hide my cheeks turning red. 

"Rae maybe she doesn't like him like that, I mean earlier today Jared said that he considers her a friend, even if half of their communities keep saying they are dating" Janet says. 

"So how was the dinner" Rae says thankfully changing subjects.

"Pretty good, I girl came up to Jared and asked for a picture with him then noticed me, I'm pretty sure that she took a picture of us so now people are really going to think we are taking" I tell them. 

"Why won't you date Jared" Rae says.

"Rae" I say, "WE. ARE. JUST. FRIENDS." I tell her. I stand back up and walk into my room. Mimi was lying on the floor. I close the door and sit down on my bed. Mimi stands up and jumps on the bed with me, "You're so cute" I say her as she lays down.

"I can't wait until that picture of Jared and me gets posted" I think to myself as I fall asleep.

I wake up in the morning Mimi walks around the room, I walk over to the side door and open it for her. I close it behind her and I go to take a shower. I grab some clothes and walk into the bathroom and turn on the shower.

I walk out of the shower and wrap a towel around myself. I brush my teeth and put some clothes on. I dry off my hair while doing my makeup. I walk out of the bathroom and open the door for Mimi to come inside. I step outside of my room and Mimi runs out. I walk into the kitchen. I grab some cereal and make a bowl. About half way eating it Mika walks out. I look down the hall and Rae's door was wide open. I walk over to it and look in and see that she was asleep. Mika sat down next to me looking at me. I smile and pet Mika and walk back into the kitchen. I sit back at the table and continue to eat the cereal. I pick up my phone and open up twitter, I see that I'm tagged in a lot of stuff. I look at it and of course it was the picture of Jared and me from last night. I decide to ignore it for now

"I can deal with that when I'm awake" I say to myself. I wash the bowl. I put Mika outside for Rae and I decide to go to the gym. I start to walk to the gym for an early work out. After a 15 minute walk I get to the gym. I open the door and walk in.

I walk into the house, Rae was sitting there petting Mika, "Hey Imane" she says.

"Hey" I say I walk past her and into my bathroom to take another show.

I walk out of my room dressed in some normal clothes and I walk over to Rae, "How are you?" she asks.

"Pretty good, I mean I haven't looked at Twitter yet so" I say as I turn on Netflix. She turns her phone on, She smiles as she looks back up at me.
