Chapter 20

Imane's POV

I have been sitting on the couch looking outside of Jared to drive up the the house for the past 35 minutes and he hasn't shown up or sent a text. I continue to stare out the window towards the driveway when my phone starts to ring. I answer it immediately not even looking at who was calling, "Hello" I say putting the phone up to my ear.

"Hi is this Imane Anys?" A woman asks saying my name incorrectly.

"Yes" I say.

"Hi Um Jared was in a car accident" she says, "We have you as his emergency contact" she says.

"What hospital is he at" I ask.

"The LA community hospital" she says. (Literally looked that up)

"I will be there in 10 minutes" I say hanging up the phone. I run past both Rae and Janet to grab my keys.

"What's wrong?" Rae asks.

"Jared he was in an accident" I say.

"Oh" Rae says, "I'll come with you" she says standing up and sliding into some shoes.

"I guess I'll stay here" Janet says. We both rush out to the car and quickly drive to the hospital.

We arrive to the hospital and quickly run in. We run over to the person at the counter, "Hi I'm here to see Jared Gray" I say to her.

"Um Jared is currently getting stiches then he is getting an x-ray and if nothing is wrong then we will put him in a room and he should be able to check out tomorrow" she says.

"So it's not that bad?" I ask.

"I don't believe so" she says.

"Okay" I say calming down.

"However he did pass out and is still passed out" she says. I nod my head and sit down with Rae sitting next to me. I put my head in my hands.

"Hey you heard her he will be fine" she says.

"He wouldn't have been driving if I didn't text him" I say.

"Why did you text him?" she asks.

"I was going to tell him I think we give us a shot" I tell her. I look up to see her smiling at me, "Don't say anything".

"So what you are saying is you want to be dating him" she says.

"Rachael I'm not in the mood" I tell her.

"Come on Imane" she says, "She said he's fine".

"She said she believes he is fine" I say, "If he isn't it's my fault" I say as a woman rushes in. She seems like she is in her late 30's.

"Hi I'm here to see Thomas Johnson" she says, "He was in a car accident" she says.

"Um I don't really know where he is the doctors didn't really tell me I believe he is in surgery" she says. The woman nods and sit down one chair away from me. I start to tear up and a few tears start to fall down my face. I slowly start to cry as I lean into Rae slowly.

"Is everything alright sweety" the woman asks.

"Yeah My boyfriend was in a car accident" I say.

"Oh I think my son was in that" she says, "Is he okay?" she asks.

"They said he should be fine but it's my fault" I say.

"No honey it's not your fault" she says as a doctor walks in.
