I wake up to the feeling of Ashton leaving soft kisses on my shoulder. I giggle and roll over so our faces are looking toward each other.
"Good morning," I say, snuggling my head closer to his chest.
"Good morning love. How did you sleep?" Ashton says. He leaves one last kiss on my forehead.
"Better than usual," I mumble. Even though the sleep was good, I don't want to get back up.
Ashton smells nice.
"That's good. I did too," He says, "I think the bus arrives at the hotel later."
I was actually really looking forward to this show tonight. Something just gave me a feeling that it'll be a good one.
My door opens up. I can hear someone take a few steps in but I don't open my eyes until I hear their voice.
"Hey, Michael made breakfast if you want some," Calum says, "Oh, Hey Ashton. Didn't see you at first."
I can hear the disappointment in Calum's
voice when he talks to Ashton. I don't want to even think about what his expression looks like right now.I hear the door close again so I sit up. Ashton stays laid down but keeps one hand rested on my hip.
"Wanna get some food?" He raises his brow.
I'm honestly not hungry. I feel bad for however Calum feels right now. I won't be able to really do anything until I talk to him about it.
"Not right now. Maybe later," I look at the door, trying to think of a way to leave without Ashton joining.
"You're not hungry? That's a first," Ashton chuckles, "But as long as you eat later, babe."
"I will, I promise," I look back and smile, "Hey, I've gotta go talk with Michael about something. I'll be back."
Lying about who I'm going to talk to probably isn't best. But I don't want Ashton to feel bad because of who I'm seeing.
I get out of my seat and walk out of the room. I find Calum with Michael and Luke in the lounge. I sit down next to Calum.
"Hey, are you mad at me?" I ask him quietly.
"Mad? Why would I be mad?" He turns to look at me.
"Because Ashton slept in my room. You just seemed upset that he was in there," I say. I look around the room to make sure the other boys can't hear us.
"I'm just confused, I guess. You kiss me then go cuddle up with Ashton," He shrugs his shoulders, "You're giving mixed signals."
He has a point.
"Sorry, I just don't know-" I start to say but Calum cuts me off.
"You don't know what you want? It's me or Ashton. You can't be with us both," Calum says, getting up and going to the kitchen.
I follow after Calum. He's getting a drink from the fridge. He turns around and leans against the wall when he sees me standing there.
"Calum, I'm sorry," I say, my voice is louder now since it's just us.
"It's okay. Just please don't lead one of us on," Calum walks closer to me. Calum leans down and leaves a peck on my cheek.
"I won't," I say, looking up at Calum.
"Good," Calum smiles, "I also have some news for you. Your favorite band is coming to our show tonight."
I try to think of who he could be referring to. I have lots of favorite bands: The Neighborhood, Artic Monkeys, Fleetwood Mac and probably more if I had to list them all.
Calum chuckles at my confused face, "One Direction. The boys are gonna come see us tonight."
A smile forms on my face. I never thought I would actually meet them. I know Ashton had mentioned it before but I never thought it would really happen.
Although, it does make me nervous. Zayn is going to be there and as embarrassing as it may be to admit, I used to have the biggest crush on him. And to make matters worse, it was Zayn fanfics that taught me the knowledge of sex skills before I actually had any.
"Oh, wow. That makes me nervous," I say, giggling a little.
"Don't be. They're gonna love you. You'd fit right in," Calum says, placing his hand on my shoulder to reassure me.
"Thanks Cal. I'm still nervous though," I shrug.
Calum looks away and chuckles. He looks back at me with the biggest smile, as if I've said the funniest thing in the world.
"Which one did you have a crush on?" He asks.
My eyes get bigger. I feel my cheeks get hot and I have to look down to avoid eye contact.
"I never had a crush. I just liked the music," I say, hoping he can't tell I'm denying it.
"I don't believe that one," Calum lifts my head up by my chin so I would look at him, "You we're definitely the biggest fan girl. Was it Harry? Niall? Louis? Zayn?" Liam?"
I shake my head, "Nope. Just a fan of the music."
"It was Zayn, wasn't it? As soon as I said his name, I could see it. You can't lie to me, love," Calum giggles.
"Whatever. Don't tell anyone please," I smile.
"You're secret is safe with me. But you're not off the hook from my teasing, yet," He smiles back.
Michael comes walking in the kitchen and looks at both Calum and I. He motions me to come to him so he can whisper in my ear.
"Are you and Cal a thing now or?" He asks me.
I pull away and shake my head "no". Michael makes a "hm" sound and shrugs.
"Why?" I ask him.
"Just wondering. Seems like you are," Michael glances at Calum again.
"We aren't. It's complicated," I bite my lip.
I grab some food for Ashton and I to take back to my room. I go inside to see Ashton sitting up on his phone. He smiles and takes the food from me.
Ashton and I eat together while we talk. I tell him the news that I heard about who was coming to see them. He already knew though. I guess Ashton had messaged Niall about them coming a while back.
The bus pulls into the hotel parking lot. I take my bags and my usual amount of stuff for the hotel in with me.
For the concert, I pick out something really nice. After all, One Direction is going to be there. When it comes time to get ready, I take a mirror picture to show off my outfit.
I leave with the boys to the venue. My heart feels like it could pound out of my chest. Although, I think they will be chill. Who knows? Maybe I'll become friends with Zayn and them.
