First, I went to Pauline's house after school. "Hey," I said, "I need to tell you something top secret. You can't tell one person. Ever." "Ok," she replied, "I won't tell." So, I gave her the file folder and told her about Ralph, leaving out the part that he was a Horned Walapus, and she read over it. At first she was skeptical, but the more I told her about it, the more she believed me.
I had to really think up a good reason to get a helicopter ride booked on a school day. So, in my free time one Saturday, I went over to Pauline's again and spoke to Mr. Martin, her dad, about a helicopter ride. I told him that Pauline and I already got permission from our teachers to miss a school day. It was because we had a science project due in a week about the water cycle and we wanted to get a super good grade, plus extra credit on ours.
The helicopter ride is covered and confirmed. Pauline is definitely going to help. Either way, she's stuck in this thing. I am one hundred percent positive that she is the right person for the job. She knows every plan and every detail. She agreed to keep her mouth shut and the whole situation will remain a secret. Everything is covered and ready for action. Now to just wait a week until.... it begins.
