“Now,” said Pauline, “We have to figure out what to do to get them loose.” I tried pushing them in in a random order, but they didn't budge. Pauline tried pulling them out, but that didn't work either. After a few tries, Ralph thought up a strange way to try to open up a secret passageway or something: He pressed the end of his mini trunk on each stone in order. When we stood back, his trunk prints glowed green in the dark. Then the nine stones shook and started falling apart and out of the wall! Who would've thought that a Horned Walapus's mini trunk print could do something so amazing? We all rushed to grab our bookbags and belongings and ran back to the hole in the wall, rock dust clouding the air around us. I held onto Ralph and grabbed Pauline's hand, and without even looking, we jumped through the hole. Anywhere but here, I thought.
Unexpectedly, we were falling. Down we went. I looked below. Grass, and rocks were covering the ground. Ralph screamed, and soon Pauline and I joined in. In the next second, we hit the ground. The last thing I remember was rolling down a hill and hitting my head on a sharp rock. I passed out.
