It was late in the evening that my captors returned. The ship had been repaired long before. We set to waters again. Everyone had retired to their compartments, the rocking of the vessel lulled everyone to sleep.

Once the sun rose, so did everyone else, including me. Just like the previous day, a guard announced the arrival of a guest. This time it was the Fire Nation Prince. Iroh accompanied him.

They stood outside my cell, each with a different expression. The Prince didn't look happy, he didn't look happy when he saw me at the Tribe either. Iroh was the complete opposite, he was smiling. The 2 guards behind them were just there... existing. And me, confused.

We all stood in silence. This is really awkward.

Is it me or is it getting pretty hot in here-

"Ahem,"

Ah, okay. Cool.

"I just realized, we haven't got your name," Iroh said with a chuckle.

"U-um... It's Y/N,"

The Prince steps forward, "And you are a fire-bender? From the Water Tribe? How-"

Iroh placed his hand on the Prince's shoulder, "Prince Zuko, one question at a time."

Zuko...

Said Prince breathes in and out. He asks again, "Are you a fire-bender?"

I nod slightly.

"And you are from the Southern Water Tribe?"

I confirm, "Born and raised."

"How is that possible?"

I shrug. The Prince grunts, not the answers he wanted. A man walks in and speaks to Prince Zuko and Iroh. They leave. Again.

I resume my place on the metal floor, "Might as well get some sleep."

"How is that possible?"

Prince Zuko's voice echoes through my thoughts. I frown and open my eyes. 

"You aren't really Hakoda and Kya's child..."

Gran-Gran... I found tears blur my vision. I pressed my palms into my face, "Stop, stop, stop."

A shuddered breath left my lips.

How...
