Chapter 38

Cheryl's pov

I walk into the studio with my beats hanging around my neck

"have a seat over there, the person in you're studio number is almost done"
Catherine the receptionist says

"alright" I sit down in the some what packed recording room next to a girl that looks around Brianna's age

"hey" she says moving her Michael kors bag so I can sit

"hey, and thanks"

"no problem, im Sophia by the way"

"nice to meet ya, im cheryl. Are you new at this studio? I have not seen you around here before?" I ask looking into her deep green eyes

"yeah, I just moved here from LA. My dad moved out here for buisness and since im only 16 I had no choice to leave all my friends behind and come out here"

"oh thats stinks, do you go to the highschool around the corner from here?"

"Yeah, I moved here 4 days ago so I haven't started the school out here yet"

"think of it as a fresh start, are you nervous?"

"Yeah a little bit, I don't know anyone, its really weird going to a whole new school and not knowing anyone. Im actually terrified for lunch, that I'll have to sit alone but you know.. Gotta do what you gotta do" she says giving me a sad smile

"well I have a daughter the same age as you, brianna. Maybe I could introduce you two?"

"Oh my god that would be amazing"

"maybe after the studio? Shes at home right now so shes free"

"yeah sounds great, thank you so much"

"no problem pet" I smile and give her a quick hug before we both go into our separate rooms to record.

I walk out of the recording room and decide too call Brianna and give her a heads up

C-cheryl B-brianna

B- hello?

C- hey bri, are you busy?

B- no, why?

C- I met a girl your age at the studio and shes gonna be new at your school so I invited her over to meet you.. Is that alright with you?

B- yeah sounds cool, whats her name?

C- Sophia, and we should be there in about 20 minutes so make sure you are ready..

B- *groans* alright

C- ok, love ya

B- love you too, bye

C- bye

I hang up the phone and Sophia comes out of the studio

"ready?"

"Yeah just nervous" "don't be, shes a nice girl" I say and she nods.

We go outside and climb into my awaiting limo.

Brianna's pov

I quickly change into black leggings, purple oversized long sleeve shirt and brown high boots and touch up my semi straight hair with the straightner and fix my makeup a bit since I have time.

I also make my bed and tidy up my room a bit before I hear mom come in the front door "bri?"

"Yeah" I say coming down the stairs to see her and a girl around my age with Long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes standing behind her nervously

"Brianna, this is Sophia" she says trying to make things less awkward

"hi im brianna, nice too meet you" I smile

"hey, nice to meet you too". We stand there awkwardly for a few mintues and mom finally catches on

"how about you girls see what you have in common, go hangout and stuff"

she says moving us both away from the door and quickly leaving us alone standing awkwardly in the hallway. What is there too talk about? I should of though about this ahead of Time.

"so you where at the studio.. You sing?" I say trying to make conversation, god im so awkward.

"Yeah I love it, how about you?"

"Not really, I like singing to myself and stuff but I've never actually sang infront of people"

"well you gotta be good if your Cheryl's daughter, come on lets see what you got" she says and we walk down to the soundproof studio as my heart beats rapidly in my chest.

"I don't know" I say my voice trembling slightly, but still noticable

"awe come on bri, ill sing with you"

"ok I'll give it a try, what song?" I give in trying to calm my heart down.

"Erm how about Night changes by one direction?"

"I love that song" wow I guess we do have a lot in common

"same its my favorite"

"me too"

"alright you ready?" She asks plugging in her phone Into the speaker and the music instantly filling the room.

I take a deep breath and imagine im singing in my bedroom by myself.

Going out tonight, changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Everything she never had
She's showing off
Driving too fast, moon is breaking through her hair
She said it was something that she won't forget
Having no regrets is all that she really wants

Chasing her tonight, doubts are running 'round her head
He's waiting, hides behind his cigarette
Heart is beating loud, she doesn't want it to stop
Moving too fast, moon is lighting up her skin
She's falling, doesn't even know it yet
