Chapter 9

I kick my phone under the chair, I hope help comes soon.

He comes down and smirks "time for your punishment".

He slaps me roughly across me cheek and I scream in pain.

"Shut up you worthless bitch" he says and slaps me again, I feel my head pounding and ashley leaves me on the floor and goes upstairs.

I feel my arms and legs throbbing badly also and then I hear sirens and ashley screaming.

Kimberley's pov

The cops take Ashley to the car and I run into the house and reach the basement door. I slam the door open and bolt down the stairs and see cheryl duck taped to a chair crying.

"Babe its me" I say gently and she looks up at me and her bottom lip starts to tremble. I run to her and take a pair of scissors off the floor and cut all the tape.

"I'm gonna get you out of here, we are gonna go home and ill take care of you"

"I-I thought I w-was g-gonna d-die" she sobs

I hug her tightly "Me too but your okay now, come on lets get out of here. Can you walk?" I ask gently rubbing her back

"no" she replies her voice still thick with tears

"put your arms around my neck" I say and she does just that. I put my arms under her knees and lift her up off the chair and out the door of the place she once called home.

I carefully put her down in the passenger seat of my car and drive away. We get to the house and I help her inside and we go into the bathroom.

"You get in the shower I will be right back" I say and leave.

I get her a baggy t shirt, underwear and sweatpants. I go back to the bathroom door and knock "come in" she says and I enter.

I wait for her to finish and get dressed and I help her into my room and sit her on the bed

I blow dry her hair and french braid it and put bandages on her cuts "thanks kimba" she says hugging me like it would be the last time.
