Chapter 5

I click the accept button and put it on speaker.

K- hello?

C-Kim (she says weakly)

K-cheryl are you hurt? Where are you?

C-yes im home

K-is ashley there?

C-no he went out to drink with his friends im on the kitchen floor hurry

K-ok be there in 2 minutes

I hang up the phone and me and Nicola run out the front door, get in Nicolas car and get to cheryl's in about 2 minutes.

I run in and she is laying on the kitchen floor hugging her knees sobbing. I walk over and take her in my arms as gentle as possible and lift her off the cold tile floor.

She buries her face into my shirt and holds the fabric tightly.

"Come on chez lets get out of this horrible place" I say and carry her out of the house that was once filled with warmth, love and memories but now just a cruel and evil shell of a home.

I put her in the back seat and me and Nicola go upstairs and pack her some clothes and her old pictures.

We put it in the trunk and Nicola drives and I sit in the back seat with Cheryl. Nicola drops us off "bye chezzabelle feel better"

"thanks" she says and we get out of the car and Nicola drives away.

I help Cheryl into the house and she turns to me "WHY DID YOU TELL HER KIMBERLEY YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T TELL ANYONE" she screams

"BECAUSE CHERYL SHES MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE WAS THERE FOR ME WHEN YOU LEFT, AND YOU LEFT ME AGAIN WHAT WAS I SUPPOSE TO DO" I scream and cheryl cringes at the tone of my voice.

"I thought I was your best friend" she says as the tears start streaming down her face.

I feel terrible and go to hug her "Don't touch us" she says coldly.

"Cheryl I..." before I finish what I was gonna say she storms into the guest room and slams the door.

I decide to let her cool down for a little while so I go to the kitchen and make myself a cup of tea and sit at the table as my mind starts to wonder
