Chapter 3

I sit next to her on the couch "Hey cheryl?"

"Yeah?" She says moving closer to me and putting her head on my lap

"how come you never told me about this?"

She sighs "Ashley told me If i tell anyone her would actually kill me, I was so scared Kimba, I never felt safe. Its the worst feeling in the world to know you could be beaten if you do anything wrong" she says a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Oh my god Im so sorry Cheryl, but your safe here" I say moving a piece of hair out of her face.

I hear knocking at the door and my eyes get wide. "Cheryl hide"

I say helping her off the couch. "Where?" She says nervously

I take her upstairs into my room "go under the bed and dont come out until I say" she nods and slides under the bed.

I run upstairs and mess up my hair and put on my pjs and quickly take off all my makeup its 10 am so I pretend I just woke up.

I hear the knock again and I run down stairs and I open the door its ashley "hey kimberley have you seen cheryl?" He asks innocently

"No sorry I haven't I just woke up" I fake yawn

"Is it ok if I look around and make sure?" He asks. "Of course come in" he looks around the whole house and he doesn't find her

He sighs "well I guess shes not here, thanks for letting me look"

"no problem" I say smiling innocently at him

"hey kim can you let me know if you see her" I give him a weak smile "ok will do"

He gets in his car and leaves. I should be an actor that turned out better than expected, I run back upstairs and go into my room "Cheryl you can come out now he's gone" I say and Cheryl slowly climbs out from under the bed. I help her up off the ground and hug her

"we did it thank you so much kimba you saved me life" she says hugging me tighter and I kiss her forehead "no problem chez".
