Ayla really did disliked confrontation, what ever it may be about. She didn't like having to talk about certain things that leads to having the truth come out. To her, avoiding confrontation was avoiding conflict. What she didn't know is, avoiding conflict to bring peace was starting a war inside of her.

Although confrontation was way better than assumptions. Assuming things has always had a way on breaking newly found friendships, relationships and what not.

It has been days since I fell asleep while on a call with Luke. I haven't tried talking to him in a while and I've kinda missed it but I wouldn't say it out loud. I figured he was busy and had streams to worry about since he almost does it every day.

I sat on the kitchen counter playing with the skittles I had on hand. Throwing it in the air and catching it with my mouth. If my mom saw me right now she'd be furious with me eating sweets. She was always conscious with what I were to eat.

My phone rings and and I look to my side to see who it is, speaking off the...

I answered and placed it on speaker. "Hi mom."

"Inaylah, I've just gotten the news from a close friend of mine that they're accepting students for their dance program." Right when the words left her lips, a frown appears on my face.

Of course that's what she would want to talk about. "Hey Ayla, how are you? I'm good thanks for asking." I mumbled to myself.

I let out a sigh, "Mom, I don't wanna continue ballet."

"And why not? You used to love it, you were even amazing. Definitely not better than I used to be, but you were great." She says.

"The keyword is being 'used to' Mom." I said as I threw the last skittle in the air to catch it with my mouth.

I hear her tsked at me, clearly irritated. "Inaylah I don't know why you don't want to continue something like this?"

I wanted to tell that it ruined my mental health but I knew all she was going to say was I just over reacting. She was pushing something I didn't want to do just because she wasn't able to follow her dreams and now she's a frustrated ballerina who's working as a lawyer.

"What about a regular course like... just something?" She bargains.

"Mom, I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I don't want to do anything asides from what I'm doing right now." I stated biting my lip to avoid letting out a frustrated groan.

I hear her call Dad as they talked in hush tones. I've been doing a lot of thinking and college doesn't seem to be for me.

"Inaylah, if you can't make a decision by the end of the month, your father and I agreed to sell the apartment. Seeing as we bought it for you. Unless of course you agree with us and you go do something with your life."

My jaw drops, "Are you serious, an ultimatum? You want me to choose but it's not even fair? You can't just do that." I stated, "I am doing something with my life and it's something I enjoy. Why can't you just genuinely support that?"
