Best Friends

Peter watched Wanda as she slowly fell asleep even though she was asleep to Peter she was still perfect. He slowly got up making his way to the elevator before taking it down to the reception where Ned was waiting for him, holding his bag and a take-out, Peter smiled at his best-friend before buzzing him through.

But Wanda had woken up and noticed that Peter was no-longer with her in fact, he was no longer on the floor. She became worried and quickly alerted the others who were also concerned about Peter's where about's and to make things worse, Peter decided to leave his phone behind so that he can enjoy time with his best-friend without any distractions.

Peter slowly walked towards his work station.

Ned - "Dude... I am really sorry..."

Peter smiled at his best-friend before they sat down and Peter brought out his laptop before Ned started to bring the stuff out of his bag and plugging them into the Spider-Man suit which they created after his was burned after the Vulture fight. It was like a classic suit but nothing as advanced as the Iron-Spider suit that Tony had made for him.

Slowly the pair started to upgrade the suit to become a lot more powerful, Peter knew that he had to tell Ned about the powers that he began to showcase earlier with the Power Stone so he slowly charged up his hand before punching the suit bringing everything online but accidentally caused a power outage in the whole tower.

Peter - "SHIT..."

Ned laughed at Peter before the doors to the Lab opened and Tony stood looking straight at Peter and Ned, it was clear that he was unimpressed with the pair of them. His eyes widen as he noticed that Ned was helping Peter with his Spider-Man suit.

Tony - "Kid... You had us all worried..."

Peter - 'I'm fine Mr Stark, tell Wanda I will spend some time with her later-"

Ned dropped his mouth at this before remembering what he had saw earlier in the day and it began to make sense. Tony just sighed knowing that he couldn't get through to a kid that didn't want to speak and just wanted to work. It was like Tony could see a younger version of himself in Peter but Tony knew that he wouldn't let Peter go down the same dark path that he had travelled down after his parents died.

Tony walked out of the lab before Peter looks at Ned before they did the fist-bump before laughing before Peter's laptop started to go crazy. Both of them studied it for a moment not knowing what is happening, it had started to glow Red Magic like what Wanda uses.

Both of them stood back before Peter noticed that the lab doors had started to close causing them to panic slightly, Peter knew that the vent in his lab connected straight to the Avengers Lounge area. He pointed up to it before using his web-shooters to get himself and Ned into the vent system.

Ned - "Dude... If you had told me tonight I would crawling around the vents in Avengers Towers, I would have called you a liar!"

Peter laughed at this, it was true to him Ned was like a brother, they both stopped when they spotted Clint looking straight at them.

Clint - "Hello boys... Looks like I've found you!"

Peter - "What do you mean?"

Clint - "Wanda wants to speak with you about you leaving her alone on the sofa earlier... And dude she's angry..."

Peter sighed before Clint led the way back to lounge area and all three of them slowly appeared, Wanda looked over and spotted Ned and Peter. She ran straight at Peter giving him a tight hug before turning to Ned, her eyes started to glow Red.

Wanda - "Who are you?"

Peter stepped in-front of Ned knowing that Wanda can be overprotective at times, he watched as Steve and Natasha laughed at this.

Peter - "Wanda chill please, he is my best-friend."

She slowly calmed down before hugging Peter before Ned noticed the Avengers standing watching them, he looked like he was about to pass out. Peter laughed before placing Ned down on a chair when Natasha walked over to Peter.

Natasha - "I need to speak with you later... I've got something to discuss with you..."

Peter looked at Natasha as she walked away before turning his attention back to Ned and Wanda who are both on edge with Ned knowing that Wanda could kill him at any moment if he ticked her off.

Wanda - "So how long have you and Peter been friends..?"

Ned - "Urm about Eight or Nine Years..."

Her eyes widened at this as she knew that the pair shared a bond like to brothers and it was something that she was grateful for knowing that Peter had good friends looking out for him, but she could tell that something about Ned didn't seem quiet right with her.

Peter walked back to them before pulling her into a hug before fist bumping Ned. He looked at the pair before smiling.

Peter - "How's about we go and get some food and possibly catch a film?"

They both nodded at this, Steve smiled at this seeing how fond Peter is of Wanda and Ned.

Steve - "The kid is great Natasha..."

Natasha - "I just hope that he takes the news well."

Steve - "I think he will be thrilled at it don't you worry... Anyways I've got a date...."

Natasha turned to Steve and her eyebrow raised at the idea of the Man out of Time actually having a date, a real life date.

Natasha - "Who's the lucky person?"

Steve just laughed at her as he grabbed his jacket before walking over to exit the apartment like complex.

As for Natasha she spent a couple of hours printing off some documents that would change Peter's life for good.
