Momo flew off Aang's shoulder during the the silence that followed after their reaction of surprise.
"You guys know each other!?" Aang exclaimed pointing his finger at Iroh, after finally getting ahold of himself. Meanwhile, Sokka just closed and opened his mouth again, still in shock.
"I met him in the woods once and knocked him down," Toph started as Iroh smiled sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head, "Then he gave me tea, and some very good advice."
"May I come in?" Iroh politely asked Toph, to which she nodded. Iroh walked in, turned around to face them, and said, "Princess Azula is here in Ba Sing Se."
"She must have Katara." Aang realised.
"She has captured my nephew as well."
"Then we'll work together to fight Azula, and save Katara and Zuko"
"Whoa there!" Sokka said as he threw his arms in the air, and walked towards Aang, "You lost me at Zuko." He said pointing at the Avatar.
Aang understood how Sokka felt, after all he was the reason Zuko had chased them all around the world. But right now nothing mattered to him more than saving Katara, and the fact that she could at the same place with Zuko made him angry, he had seen the way the prince looked at her. No. Why was he thinking of this? Zuko would never like Katara. Even if he did, Katara wouldn't even care, after all, he had caused them a lot of trouble. But then again, Zuko had rescued him from Zhao dressed as the Blue Spirit. He should give him a chance. Before he could say anything, Iroh spoke up.
"I know how you feel about my nephew, but believe me when I tell there's good inside him." Iroh said, as he placed an arm on Sokka's shoulder.
"Good inside him isn't enough," Sokka said as he took Iroh's arm of his shoulder and pushed him away, saying, "Why don't you come back when it's outside him too, okay?"
"Katara is in trouble, all of Ba Sing Se is in trouble, working together is our best chance." Aang pointed out to Sokka.
Sokka didn't want to agree, Zuko had caused them a lot of trouble, but his babyy sister was in trouble and he had promised their father that he would take care of her no matter what. Even if she was highly capable of herself, and a master waterbender. He nodded slightly in agreement, and Aang smiled lightly.
"I brought someone along who might be able to help us." Iroh said as he walked out the door.
The others followed him and saw a man dressed in the Dai Li uniform. Toph immediately put up a wall around the man. He whimpered and squirmed. He looked quite frightened for a Dai Li agent. But then again, anyone who fought against the Dragon of the West would be. He had a scar on the right side of his face. They walked up to him, and Iroh pulled down the cloth he had tied around the man's mouth earlier.
"Azula and Long Feng are plotting a coup," he started nervously with wide eyes as a drop of sweat ran down the side of his face, "They are going to overthrow the Earth King."
"My sister," Sokka asked angrily as he held up his boomerang at the man, "where are they keeping Katara?"
"In the crystal catacombs of Old Ba Sing Se, deep beneath the palace." The agent said, but they had already left.
-------
"Movements of all the generals and the Earth king have been plotted out step-by-step." said a Dai Li agent.
"Good, and the Fire Nation Princess is cooperating?" Long Feng asked. He was sitting cross-legged in the cell they had put him in, and was sitting in the posture for meditation with his eyes closed.
"Oh yes, more than cooperating, she has really taken charge," he paused remembering Azula's speech as he shuddered a little, "she is terrifying and inspirational at the same time. It's hard to explain." And with that the agent walked away having told Long Feng, how well the plan was being carried out.
Long Feng opened his eyes, he would have to be cautious of the princess.
