Mila stood outside of her apartment building, watching the paramedics load the man that had tried to kill her twice now into the back of an ambulance. A frown tugged at her lips as she wrapped her arms around herself.
"Does it make me a bad person that I didn't heal him?" she asked, her eyes on Lancaster.
"No," Evelyn said immediately.
Hunter shook his head. "If you healed him, he could have found out about your power and told Keller if Kane hasn't already."
Jason sighed. "We need to interrogate him, see if he'll flip on Keller."
"If he does, will that be enough to take Keller down?' Mila asked.
"It should be," Jason said, frowning lightly at his gaze went to Hunter. "What do you think?"
Hunter nodded absently, his eyes still trained on the ambulance in front of him. Before he could open his mouth to say anything, he was suddenly cut off by the sound of a police siren. To his surprise, two pitch black police cars began pulling up on the road with their lights flashing.
"Did you call Division?" he asked, looking at Jason when he recognized the marked cars.
Jason looked equally as confused, eyeing the vehicles as Division agents stepped out. The passenger side door opened of the car that was nearest to them, and to everyone's surprise, Chief Gregory Keller stepped out.
Hunter immediately put a hand on Leila's shoulder, pulling her beside him. Almost immediately, she tried to shrug his hand off as she nearly stumbled into him.
"Don't say a word," he told her, his ice like eyes boring into her dark ones to make sure she understood. "Stay behind me."
"What's wrong?" she asked, confused.
"Leila, please," he said, squeezing her shoulder.
Leila eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he pulled her closely to his side, this time with her no longer resisting. Chief Keller walked over to them, a hard expression on his face.
"You," Evelyn immediately snapped, her eyes narrowing. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Chief Keller immediately narrowed his eyes towards her.
"Know you're speaking to, Miss Blare," he snapped back.
Jason scowled. "What are you doing here, sir?"
"I heard you two had a dangerously close encounter with a known criminal linked to Psychotics," he said.
"A criminal you supposedly let out," Mila accused, crossing her arms.
Keller raised an eyebrow, not bothering to respond to her words as he glanced back over towards the ambulance. Hunter followed his line of sight and noticed that two Division agents were talking to the paramedics, their voices faint.
"What are they doing?" he asked immediately, his eyes shooting to Keller. "What's going on?"
"Brody Lancaster is being transported to a medical facility outside of the city where he will be treated and processed back into prison," Keller informed him.
"Like hell he is," Hunter said in disbelief. "You can't just take our suspect."
"I just did," Keller told him.
