Your POV

I groaned as I rubbed my forehead starting to wake up. My eyes opened as I felt silky cloth all around me where I rested. I looked around seeing myself in a fairly fancy room.

Me: What happened?... I remember finding G. Gadd. Then it's just black from there.

I tried sitting up feeling pain through my whole body as I did. Why do I feel like I somehow broke every bone in my body? I groaned as I sat up and scooted back resting on the head of the bed.

Me: Blackouts are starting to become the norm for me... Should probably be concerned about that.

I put my legs over to the side getting onto my feet. As I did someone came through the door as I looked down seeing Reed.

Reed: Sir (Y/N)? You're awake!

Me: Sir? A bit formal don't you think? You can leave all the formality out the door, my friend.

Reed: Yes si- I mean (Y/N). But you shouldn't be moving. You are not in the best condition.

Me: Eh it could be worse.

I nearly tripped as I said that. Making me laugh shyly a bit. I winced in pain a bit as I looked at the dresser nearby seeing my tube. I picked it up pressing the button as I turned it back into my mallet.

Me: Where have you been?

I said kissing it as Reed walked up to me.

Reed: Didn't you hit a robotic alien dragon with that?

Me:... I did, didn't I? Eh, whatever.

I used my hammer for support as I started to walk. Reed walking by me kept the door open for me and then closed it behind us.

Reed: Her highness is not going to be happy that you're walking around in your condition.

Me: She'll get over it. Anyway, I'm guessing that the castle is hers again?

Reed: Indeed.

Me: Good. That leaves only Plum. Where's the Princess?

Reed: Waiting on the higher floor of the castle for Princess Boosette's arrival.

Me: Of course she's coming here... I guess we'll be going there then.

Reed: Since you insist. I'll guide you there.

I followed Reed up the stairs as I watched some of Bowsette's people converse with each other. Some having a good time. Other's tears of joy for each other's safety. It felt good to see. As we continued I grunted taking a knee and holding my chest on the last flight of stairs. Feeling Reed stopped and came back down putting his hand on my back.

Reed: Is it getting worse? Maybe we should-

Me: Reed. If can handle Ghosts, the Undead, and a robot twice my size. I think I can handle stairs.

Reed: Fair point.

We continued as we reached the top and there stood Bowsette and someone in a blue coat and hat by her side. Approaching them Bowsette noticed us coming their way as she stared at me with a shocked expression.

Me: Stare at me any harder you'll light me on fire princess.

I said jokingly as I walked up to her. I'm instantly pulled into a hug. Sure it was painful because of the weird pain I felt everywhere. But, it was... Nice. I put the hand that wasn't holding my hammer around her back to return the favor as I snickered a bit.

Me: What's wrong with you? You're acting like I died or something.

She pulled away I still gave her my usual grin. She looked a bit astonished.
